I noticed that KotOR (rightly) got Metacritic's Xbox Game of the Year Award. I was just wondering how the award was decided and what other games won other console's GotY awards?

Essentially, the Game of The Year is the highest scoring game released during that calendar year on that platform. In the case of the Xbox 2003 category, I chose not to make the GTA Double Pack eligible because it was a compilation and each game was released earier on a different platform. It was a judgement call. No hard & fast rules in that area.

If you look at the all-time scoring list for each platform, just look at the highest scoring game for a given year & that will likely be the game of the year.

To save myself the burden of having to create a new thread, I shall but my lovefest in this thread entitled "KOTAR" I realize that I am really late on this and nobody cares by now, but being that I just got my XBOX it is a new experience for me. It is so addictive and deep, actually that is making it really tough for me to ever decide what to play, the first games that I have bought have been "Kotar," "Halo 2," "Burnout 3," "Madden 2005," and "ESPN NBA 2k5" so I am having real difficulty deciding what game I should play and stick with. Any suggestions?

I dont know what you mean by all the "KOTAR" business or what you are trying to get at, but I havent been too pleased with the Xbox. Im actually going to trade my console in and get a PS2 instead. The only exclusive game on the Xbox that I have found to be a lasting classic for me is Fable. I dont consider KotOR, Halo, Morrowind, Riddick etc to be exclusives since they are available on PC.

KOTOR was a breathtaking game. The grass on Dantooine move in different times, there are several hundred different people in it with different dialogues, saber duels are excellent (not perfect). The only bad thig about it for me was that mission vao couldn't be a jedi!

By da way. Member 27 is M-E-N-T-A-L! PS2 sucks shit it only has a default number of 2 controller ports while XBOX has 4 and is featured in much more major comps and Counter-Strike and Halo are specially designed for it and the buttons are flat u don't even feel the boldness of the buttons and they're small ass for little kiddy gamers below 10 years old!!!

Kotor is a good game, and member 27 isnt mental, ps2 doesnt suck, but neihter does xbox. And JL, if you get the computer version you can hack and cheat all all of these cool things and make almost everyone in your party a jedi. And Kotor 2 isn't as good as kotor 1, dont buy it if u havn't already

Anyone know about the newest KOTOR release? Name/release date/new features etc.
