I've never been a big fan of the series, but I got no.4 yesterday...I don't know. There's just something about the style of play I can't get into. Graphically great. Meh, hope the fans like it.

It could be better... The whole "backtracking" aspect of the game just doesn't work. I'm sick of playing as Dante already.

I have followed the DMC series since it's initial release in October of 2001, through the horrendous disappointment that was DMC 2 in 2003, and the controller-shattering goodness that was DMC 3 in 2005. I have ordered Devil May Cry 4, it's on the way now, It was a deal priced at $52, seems cool http://www.dealstudio.com/searchdeals.php?deal_id=89585&ru=290

the series is ok but hasn't been great in a while...half of the game backtracks the same levels, which makes the game only 1/2 good IMO
