I was watching the G4 coverage at E3 and they took a look at the Fight Club game. This is a game made from a movie that is five years old....wha??!! Brad Pitt isnt in it which is fine. But, why didnt the game come out 5 years ago---or even 4 years---but here it is 2004 and the game hasnt come out. As for the game itself...it doesnt look bad--nice features. If you hurt an arm you cant use it. Stages are based on locations in the mocie...etc. Its all fairly standard stuff that would have been uber-cool had it come out before DOA3, Tao Feng, Mortal Kombat, tekken 4...etc.

Yeah, the developers picked the most boring aspect of the movie to turn into a game.
A better idea IMO would be to take the role of a member of Project: Mayhem and do the various tasks under Tyler. It would be all non -linear---of course I have no idea how one would make that a coherent game that doesnt just mimic the story told in the film---but, then again that's why I am not a game designer.

Thats a pretty cool concept for a game actually. You could also blend the fighting element with that and have something of an RPG where you have to rise through the ranks of Fight Club through terrorist activity and violence.

This is the first I have heard of this game coming. Sounds like it would be a much better game if was like eccenro suggested, with missions. I do really like the movie but this I might be a game I rent first.
Just to tell you guys, it finally came out on the new Official Xbox Magazine November edition on the demo disk. I've played one round of that game and I wasn't impressed at all. Not that I was looking foward to it, but I thought the damage modeling would look better. Nope. For now I think I'm gonna pretend this game doesn't exist.
