Oblivion is a must have, i mean MUST HAVE game. Gears of war and perfect dark zero are good shooters, and of course you'll still be able to use most of your xbox games if you have them.
Well i have a 360 and i REALLY recommend: The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion espescially if u like RPG's cos it is AWESOME as hell! Also Gears of War OWNS and Battlefield 2 Modern Combat is SO good online. yeah..thats another thing...U need Xbox Live (online) as without that the games are no way near as good and u will get very bored. Hope u enjoy ur 360

i kno that this message is like really late but if u r a halo fan gears of war and lost planet should scratch your itchy trigger finger. if you want a game that is a good laugh pimp my ride is probably a good one. if an rpg is your thing chrome hounds is pretty good in that category
yeah to repeat whoever said it, it depends if you have live man. Because it changes your whole gaming experience. if you do i reccomend Dead or Alive 4, Call of Duty 2 (i think its better then 3), GRAW 1 or 2 or both, Splinter Cell Double Agent, Rainbow Six Vegas, Oblivion, Bioshock when it comes out, and Gears of War. Btw if anyone plays Tom Clancy Games, H3 when its out or DoA4 on live much add me Tag= True Arcadio
Well, honestly, it really (and I mean really) depends on what kind of games you enjoy the most. So here's some of the generally acknowledged top games in their respective genres (also I'll exclude outdated our prequels)that aren't all too similar:
Shooters: 1) Gears of War (An absolute must buy) 2) Rainbow Six Vegas 3) BioShock (will probably be one of the best games of all time and redefine what it means to play a video game. 98 on MC) 4) Lost Planet
Racing: 1) Burnout Revenge 2) Forza Motorsport 2 (This is the best overall, in my opinion) 3) Project Gotham 3
Action/Adventure: 1) Kameo: Elements of Power (Launch title but still a very solid game, doesn't feel out-dated by any means) 2) Dead Rising 3) Tomb Raider: Legend
RPGs: 1)The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (I'd wait until the game of the year edition rolls out, tons of content - same price) 2)Marvel: Ultimate Alliance
RTS: 1)Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars 2)Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth 2
My top 5 games, in ascending order? 1)BioShock, BioShock, BioShock. 2)Gears of War 3)Lost Planet 4)Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion 5)The Darkness
As you can see, I'm a huge non-tactical shooter fan - so the games you want depends on your tastes.
Finally, I'd play all of the above mentioned games, and more. If you're just getting a 360 it might be a good idea to get GameFly for a month or two and just cycle through all of those games.
P.S. - Forgot XBLA! Original Titles only: 1)Cloning Cylde 2)Wiki: Fable of Souls 3)Prince of Persia Redux (Not really an original, but close enough.)
Recently released game compilation, The Orange Box, would be a good choice.
Other games like The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Dead Rising are great games with lasting appeal. For me, that's the most important thing and everything else falls under lasting appeal.

I'm a game player.I aways play video games, i think video games can relieve myself from stress. But i used to be in trouble with buying game currency.Occasionally, i loged on www.upgold.net, it is a website for selling game currency and powerleveling. Then I bought gold from it, just trying. Suprisingly, I found www.upgold.net a good website to buy game currency. its delivery speed is very fast and its gold price is reasonable. Additionally, its customer service is excellent.
SO if you want to buy game currency or powerlevel, log on www.upgold.net.
