See kind of somewhat review from my blog "Happy Thanksgiving" on the left of the screen--- It's not a complete review....but it will be soon..when i beat the game
Well, I bought the game the day that it came out. I was so pumped for the game. After playing for about 2 hrs I relized some disapointments in the game and that the story mode is really stinking it up, well Then after playing it, I went online and played, I thought that was amazing thing that halo 2 has here, So I play that more than the actual game it self. It a great game though

Somewhat. The first half of the campaign was incredible and varied, but by the second half the game was displaying every criticism of Halo (repeitive levels and enemies) but the story was almost laughable. A bunch of characters and events that the game doesnt make you give a stuff about going through all these silly twists that fail to inspire any kind of pathos in the gamer pretty much summarises the narrative of the game. Then there is the ending ... *shudder*
Multiplayer is as solid as in the first game.
If you do not own Xbox Live and dont have a ridiculous penchant for console FPS's (I fail on both counts) there is no reason to get this game.

Well i really love this game! First player experience is not as good as the first but the multiplayer is what makes this game really great!! But the ending of the single player really made me mad but that multiplayer is sooooo much fun! I Would rate it 9 out of 10

I found Halo 2 mediocre at best. Halo: Combat Evolved was better but I found that game mediocre too. It didn't suck, but it wasn't anything too entertaining. I could barely play a level of Halo 2 without losing interest.

I enjoy Halo 2 thourghly but i am on edge to what extra changes they will make for halo 3 as there have been reports of a battle in space and the flood travelling to earth. also they have said that the aliens "covenant" will altered rather significantly to give them that more alien type look. personally i think that they should make some levels whereby you can complete them in stealth such as using silenced weapons etc.

I have had a new sort of demo of halo 3 showing slight previews for the game and it appears as though the covenant find something hidden somewhere under something at Africa. The game looks good and i can't wait.

I loved Halo, but Halo 2 really just didn't do it for me. The levels were boring and confusing (at least Halo 1 gave you those little blue arrows if you couldn't find your way), the Flood was annoying rather than scary this time around, and the whole thing really just felt like a chore, performed only so I could get to the end of the story.
The online multiplayer is great, but some of the gameplay alterations made it less than it could have been. The pistol turned into the crap magnum, the assault rifle went from mediocre but passable to worse-than-nothing, and the multiplayer maps just weren't as good as those in Halo 1. Here's hoping they turn it around for 3...
