I have an Xbox 360, and i am torn between a few games that i wish to buy.

Devil May Cry 4
Front Lines : Fuel of War
Mass Effect
Call of Duty 4

i know that there are many more that i cannot think of. i currently own Bioshock, Assassin's Creed, Halo 3, and Guitar Hero 3. And yes, i know, my game library is very small.
I wish to buy a game that has a good campaign, and has fairly good multiplayer aspects.

Could i please have some input on this issue? And if you can think of any other games you would recommend, please make your opinion known.

Thank you in advance.

For campaign plus multiplayer, Call of Duty 4 without a doubt

Call of Duty Multiplay is very fun at first but gets old quick.

I have to say, I really enjoyed Call of Duty 4 when I got it at X-Mas but unlike the CoD2, I traded this in pretty fast. The campaign is short but fantastic. The multiplayer is also great but it is gets fairly predictable. Even with the new maps coming out, I didn't feel bad selling it.

Go for the black sheep of your list, Front Lines. I have played that this last week and it is really, really good. Huge maps, tons of players (up to 25 vs. 25) and lots of variety of game styles. It is more akin to the old Battlfield 1942 and Modern Combat than to the more smaller battle fields of Call of Duty. Add great new gameplay ideas (the different roles you can choose in addition to the weapon types are great). Check out the demo if you don't believe me but Frontlines is one of the better online games out there right now.

It really depends on what type of gamer you are. My favorite on your list, by far, is Mass Effect. I like RPG games and like FPS games. Mass Effect is a mix of the two (more heavily RPG, but the FPS is there) and as a result, is my favorite game.

Frontlines, ignore that. That's a game that will be forgotten in a few months. The online play isn't that great either.

Devil May Cry is good, but gets very repetitive. If you like button mashing and performing big combos, go for it though.

Call of Duty 4 is by far, one of the best shooters of all time. The storyline is amazing, online is even better.

So, overall...

If you like huge stories with a lot of customization and choices, go Mass Effect. You will be hooked for hours upon hours. If you like FPS games, go Call of Duty 4. It's a classic.

I think that if more people would play Frontlines it might be the best pick, but there is no denying how fun CoD 4 is... the only negative is when you first start playing online you will get owned for a good while, it doesn't match up ranks and skill levels like Halo 3 does. Just today I was thrashing people who had just started playing, i almost felt sorry for them...so I called in a Helicopter while I hid and ate lunch! Cool

Don't listen to these guys. Call of Duty 4 is awesome, truly a masterpiece of an FPS....but you NEED to get Mass Effect.
