In anticipation for the upcoming tv reviews on Metacritic, I thought it might be fun to discuss what new tv shows are coming out this fall...
I have seen promos for the Gina Davis as president one and think it looks like a fun West Wing meets Wellesley kind of vibe to it...could be good...also a new reality show about everyday inventors is coming to USA where they compete for a year contract on the Home Shopping Network. I think it will be very interesting...
Also Desperate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy are back...what are you looking forward to?

Good idea Elle. Personally, I think the new one on Fox called Prison Break looks to be pretty cool. I'll probably check that one out. And of course, I can't wait for 24 and Alias to start back up. Those are probably the two best shows on tv right now.

Yea, well you see this one? This was my dream, my wish....and it didn't come true. So I'm taking it back, I'm taking them all back. -Face
I wish Sopranos was coming back this fall, but alas, we have another year to wait! I have heard rumors that Survivor is bringing back 2 former contestants, so that might be interesting to watch...Just heard that the "Made in the USA" invention show starts on September 14 at 10 so I'll be tuning in for that...
any other new can't-miss reality?

Anybody out there watching HBO? "Rome" starts this Sunday, and I will definitely watch. There is another Ricky Garvais ("The Office") show coming out next month too.
I liked Rome...second half was much better than first half. I hate it when they make a bunch of characters look the same though (I guess the only hairstyle women wore in Rome was longcurlyred).
I'm looking forward to Everyone Hates Chris(I think that's the correct title), the new sitcom written and voiced by Chris Rock.
"If it were beneficial, their father would produce children already circumcised from their mother. Rather, the true circumcision in spirit has become profitable in every respect." -Jesus, from the Gospel Of Thomas
Haha, sounds like it's kind of like Everybody Loves Raymond, but not...I just read that one of the judges on Made in the USA founded both Chuck E. Cheese and Atari...Did anyone know it was the same guy? That's crazy. I am betting that this show will pack more heat and competition than the Apprentice or Survivor...people are VERY touchy about their inventions!

I've liked the first few eps of Prison Break. INteresting premise, although there's a gritty edge missing on network TV that HBO's OZ had going for it.
My wife watched and enjoyed the first ep of Reunion which she described as a soapy murder mystery. I like the premise...each episode covers one year (out of 20) between graduation and the murder of one of the main characters...

I'm liking 'Prison Break' so far as well. I'm wondering if the story is going to get so far fetched (the government conspiracy seems like an iffy road to go down) that it becomes outside the realm of possibilities. Fun to watch so far though.
I'm gonna have to third you guys on Prison Break. I'm always a sucker for a good prison/escape story and this one does have some decent originality to it. I have to say, the idea of the tattoo's was pretty ingenious. I'm just really wondering what's going to happen now that they are already having him trying to escape in the next episode?

I watched E-Ring and How I met your Mother this week and think both of them have potential, but the reviews were kind of mixed...What did you all think?

I've only watched a few premieres, and only one new show so far, "Everyone Hates Chris." It was pretty funny. I also TiVo'd "My Name is Earl." I watched the premiere of "Lost." Now I didn't watch one episode last year, but I did watch the re-cap show outlining what has happened thus far, and now I am hooked. The premiere totally sucked me in. I also watched the CSI premieres(except NY which I don't like). I am happy Vegas may have a continuing thread throughout the season following possible accomplices of Nick's abductors. Big night Sunday with West Wing and Desperate Housewives. Stay tuned.
Il n'y a pas de hors-texte.

They changed the times for Made in the USA so it's now on Thursdays at 6pm...makes it a little harder for me to watch, but the inventors are so amusing that you can't help but love it.
