Six Degrees looks like it has a pretty dynamite cast, and J.J. Abrams has created two of my favorite shows in recent years in Lost and Alias. Based on premise alone, The Nine and Heroes look interesting. The comedies all look pretty stupid, with the sole exception being 30 Rock.

I'm a bit excited for 30 Rock mainly because of Alec Baldwin. I think he's one of the most underrated comedic actors around.

30 Rock all the way. It has to be good if Tina Fey is willing to give up "head writer" status at SNL. Alec Baldwin in a sitcom??? It must have something great going for it.

I fell in love with the first cute girl that I met.

Apparently, it's already got problems. According to Rob Sheffield's piece on the show in the new Rolling Stone, they've already dumped Rachel Dratch (who is funny) in favor of Jane Krakowski (who is not), formerly of Ally McBeal fame. It doesn't bode well when stars are switched mid-stream, and Dratch was a long-time comedic partner with Fey even before SNL. Retooling a show this late in the game is usually not good news...

The only new show I'm really anticipating at all right now is Shark. And that just because James Woods' performance looks so compelling.
There are a few others that seem like they could possibly be good. 30 Rock could be funny, but I don't trust anything where the head writer for the last few years of Saturday Night Live is involved. (Heck, anything from Saturday Night Live post-Norm.)
Then there's that 'Smith' show that strikes me as a 'Could possibly be great, will probably be weak'.
And 'The Class'. I don't know. Friends had good comedy writing, but it got way too repetetive and soap opera-ish with it's story arcs. Characters getting together, breaking up, getting together again, breaking up again, two main characters who are total opposites suddenly being madly in love...and I'm worried it'll go too much in that direction.
Then a few new episodic shows that seem to be trying to reproduce the CSI/Without a Trace feel, or serials that are trying to be like 24 and Prison Break. I guess we'll just see.

Heh...I don't know if Studio 60 will be a good show yet, but the first ten minutes ROCK.
He basically said about Saturday Night Live what we all pretty much think.

Hmm. 2 posts, both about how great "Big Day" is gonna be. Nobody's that excited about a sitcom. Especially one that got really lousy reviews. I smell a street teamer....

Has there ever been a street teamer for a TV show here?
