Hey guys. I am starting this topic because I am seriously considering getting a DRV. Whether it be Tivo or Replay TV I'm not sure, but I wanted the opinions of some of the folks here that I am sure have one.
One of the main features that we want in a DVR is to be able to record two shows at the same time (ideally while watching a third). Any opinions on what the best DVR or DVR deal available right now is? I would also like to be able to watch a recorded show on a different tv than the one it was recorded on, but I understand that is only available with the dish network or direct tv DVR setup right now.
What do you guys think? Is the service worth spending the money on?

Yea, well you see this one? This was my dream, my wish....and it didn't come true. So I'm taking it back, I'm taking them all back. -Face
I have DVR on my Dish Network and, while it's useful at times, the service I have is not great. You cannot watch another channel while DVR-ing another at the same time on my service. But mine is the bottom of the barrel (non-Tivo) Dish Network option. But I enjoy being able to rewind and pause live TV and easily record sans videotape.
I think a good Tivo would be MUCH better than my system, but I only pay $5 a month for it.
