I also wonder if intolerance toward Hank's views turn people off to King of the Hill. Simpsons and Family Guy are both loaded with liberal messages, whereas all the main characters in King of the Hill are moderate conservative.

King of the Hill, of course, presents the views factually without propagandizing for or against, but people could be making the mistake of thinking that Mike Judge is trying to convince them of something, they same way Seth MacFarlane clearly is. (There's a fairly sizeable group of mostly young liberals who are extremely intolerant toward any form of conservatism, and they pretty much comprise Fox's chief demographic).

King of the Hill is a really good show, but it's had such a consistant ten year run that it's gotten rather repetetive, so I understand why it's being cancelled. Heck, Mike Judge might just be moving onto other projects.

I have been GLUED to this show lately. And it really bites, because its only on @ 3AM during the week. I, being a college student, technically should not be staying up to watch with 8 AM classes everyday. But I do anyways, because it is that good.

I loook forward to watching it. They show commercials every 15 minutes. But when I look at my clock, its 3 45 and there is only 15 minutes worth left.

Oh, anyways. The name of the show is Crossing Jordan. SOme people may have the criticism about it, but I can't stay away from the show.

Other shows about murder mystery and detective work that I enjoy are CSI: Miami and CSI:NY and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. And then the older Law & Order Series.

In an interview, Judge said precisely that: he wanted to take the show out while it was still good and he wanted to move on to new things. I can't argue, as much as I enjoy KOTH...

Hey, remember when they said they were going to move the show to Las Vegas, and then decided to kill Buckley instead? I wonder if they were really planning to do that.

And if so, I wonder if there's a Las Vegas episode lying around somewhere that never aired.

Yeah, i guess that's for the best. maybe they'll do another 2 part episode as a conclusion.

On an unrelated topic, I think the makers of That 70s Show definitely should have learned from that advice (see above) a few seasons ago

I can't believe it. Not one mention of the greatest show in the history of TV: Seinfeld. In my view, it was much more consistently entertaining than the Simpsons (hit-and-miss for me), plus it didn't hang around 10+ years after its peak to the point where every story had been done over and over again (sorry, I actually do like the Simpsons).

I also watch King of the Hill (best animated series ever) and several reality shows: Survivor, Amazing Race, The Apprentice, and yes, even American Idol (am I alone here?). I don't watch any dramas currently, though I will be checking out Lost on DVD.

From what I've seen, peoples' opinions of Seinfeld are either absolutely love it or meh...

Seinfeld is really consistent, but Simpsons is a lot easier to digest mentally, which is probably a big reason why it's on at 7 and Seinfeld is on at 6:30.

I think king of the hill's awesome, along with the way-underappreciated Futurama.

I'm on the 'Meh' side of Seinfeld.

I mean, I can see how much better it is than your usual sitcom fare, and when I watch it, I enjoy it.

But, I don't find Kramer's antics funny, and I'm not really into the 'Whining about irrelevant things' and the 'Coincedences leading to social embarassment' approach to comedy that Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David use.

Though, it probably is more consistant than recent Simpsons. Simpsons tends to be...a series of one liners delivered by a massive cast of characters who always do exactly what you expect them to do.

About ten years ago they sort of decided to just stop being culturally relevant and start just efficiently delivering you exactly what you expect to see from their show. Simpsons has become the Old Faithful of comedies.

All-time favorites...
Millennium
The X-Files
Twin Peaks
MST3K

On-air favorites...
Arrested Development (I hope)
Lost
24

Actually, it's safe to say that if it's not a "favorite", I don't watch it. TV is one of those things you can only dedicate so much time to, so the show has to be pretty spot-on.

I heard about this new show, and I just have to post about it because it has the funniest name ever...Shalom in the Home...I guess a rabbi comes to your house to counsel you and your family. Great name. Just thought it was worth mentioning.

Ever since Arrested Development ended there's been nothing worth watching on TV besides the Colbert Report.

I also miss Carnivale and Six Feet Under, but I wasn't so distraught over their ends.

Oh yeah, Colbert Report is soooooooooooooooooooooo good. It makes every single other show on TV look like crap.

Seriously now, I don't like most of the shows these days either. I've been watching Pee Wee's Playhouse every once and a while. And holy crap, I just saw two of the funniest shows ever last night, Da Ali G Show on HBO and something called Twin Peaks.

Anyone heard of or seen the second one?

Are you flippin' serious about Twin Peaks?? Cool

Of course, I watched the whole thing. It imploded on itself the last few episodes, but it's the best thing David Lynch ever did, at least the other side of The Elephant Man.

I have been watching Freaks and Geeks: First (and only) season. It is really really good. I can definitely see why it got poor ratings and only lasted one year, but it is seriously the only show I've ever watched where EVERY character is likeable. Lost-style, every episode usually focuses on one or two people/relationships, and stuff that happens in the first couple episodes suddenly "makes sense" after you've seen the tenth episode because the show needed that much time to flesh out a particular character. Anyway, it is really interesting.

Serious that I thought it was funny or that I've never heard of it before? I know it's supposed to have some artistic meaning, but the scene where she screams at the long-haired guy and it zooms up on the inside of his mouth had me and my friend cracking up.

Ah, so it's a series. I didn't know if it was that or a movie. I'll deinitely check it out again.

And if anyone is wondering, I was being sarcastic in that comment about Colbert Report.
