Every once in a while, I stumble over a television show that looks interesting, but is hard to catch up on without finding it in a DVD collection. This happened recently when I caught a show called Jekyll on BBC America. I took the risk and bought the DVD. What a great show. Probably the best written piece of science fiction I’ve seen in some time. I’ve watched it end to end twice and have been passing it around to my friends. I'm wondering if others could recommend cool underappreciated shows that are available on DVD.

Well the show I have in mind isn't unappreciated but it was a show that was canceled before the end of the first season. The entire first season is on DVD and it is one of the best TV shows of all times. It is Freaks and Geeks.

The Avengers. Most people who like the show prefer the Emma Peel eps but I liked the Tara King seasons best.
