hi all i was wondering if i could ask you to give some advice on a question i am researching for my media studies:

'do magazine programmes (i.e Blue Peter) effect children's attitudes towards social and cultural issues?'

any advice greatly appreciated thanks x

Probably. Young children don't really start thinking for themselves until a certain age. They're very suggestable.

The conventional wisdom used to be that children would not be affected by any television content. However, that was before two wage-earner families and the systemic trauma of 9/11. So much information comes by way of media now, rather than by way of person-to-person socialization, I would be surprised if television were found to have no impact.
