I have completed the game, and am supposed to be able to access the secret level - Tower of Orthanc - but it only returns me to the final level I just beat - Hornburg Courtyard. I finished level 10 w/ Aragorn and beat the Trolls in Hornburg. The walkthroughs say "beat with game at level 10 with any character for access to secret level." Do I have to replay the whole game with Aragorn at level 10 in order to access this secret level? What gives? thanks -- wade (gamecube: LOTR the two towers)
Ive pretty much finished Two Towers 5-7 times on XBOX. You pretty much have to just keep fighting enemies till the end. Remember to use your arrows when wise (to inflict the most damage in a short time) i.e: when uruks or orcs are far away, and try to crack the enemy shields with arrows by charging up full, and you wont have to worry as much. Always try to kill distractions first, i.e: archers with normal/exploding on impact arrows, the orcs, and then finally get up close & personal with the Uruk-Hai and trolls.
To slay the trolls, simply just kill the cave trolls by charging up arrows (after killing all the annoying archers) or on the other hand, you could trick the archers into shooting the trolls from behind. Just keep running around and then the trolls will walk towards you, and luckily you could get them to be hit by the archers. Or just simply hack em away.
To beat the forest trolls, try to make constant fierce attacks (not in a fierce combo). Try to make the first strike over and over again while not giving him enough time to hit you or do another move. If you do this, then he will smash you will 1/4-1/3 of your life. Continue this pattern until he is defeated.
(Note : In the last floor, you will face Berserker Uruks, normal uruks, orcs, archers, 1 cave trolls and 2 forest trolls).
