Go back to the gift shop Shell City with the stick... there is a puddle of black stuff dripping down from the deck onto the sand... dip the stick in it and then use the stick with the shell as a shovel...

My son ran into the same problem a number of times. The game seems to just hang up there (perhaps because of the extra processing power needed to produce that raining effect). Be sure to save the game just before you rescue Spongebob from the lamp, and then keep reloading and trying again (with as little else running on the PC as possible). Eventually it will work and allow you to take the crown and exit the shop.

My son is at Chapter 8 (Planktopolis). Spongebob has the guitar and the amplifier, souped-up with bulb and speaker. Now what? How/where does Spongebob use the guitar/amp to disable plankton's transmissions?

My son is stuck in Level 4 where Mindy is grounded in her room. There is a guard strolling to and fro bloking her room door. All we could find is a bottle of glue and a dirty mirror which we are stuck with. How do we get Mindy out? She mentioned something about her dad's seahorses. Thanks lads.

O.K. I figured it out. You have to plug the souped-up amplifier into the outlet in the Krusty Crab. Then Spongebob Rocks!

You need to go over to the window, open it and apply the glue to it. Then when you tell the guard about the "sea monster"...he'll go and get stuck so Mindy can sneak out.

HELP!!! I am a grandmother with a 4 year old and a 6 year old just dying to play this game. I, myself,am just dying...because I cannot figure it out. I have got the chest open and the little guy dressed, but even after reading other posts I cannot find the alarm clock to wake up the repairman and I don't know if I have to carry the phone outside to him to fix it or not. So we have no toothpaste and I am about to put the game in the trash! Well, not really, but I need help findng the "horn alarm clock" and aquiring the toothpaste. Thank you so much!

I'm trying to get through this most difficult game i ever played with my 5-year-old for the past one week. Can someone help me with Level 3 : how do i get Spongebob to go to Goofy Gober to buy ice-cream? It keep telling me that he has something to do at the KK and won't go to GB.

Appreciate any tip..

I hear ya. It seems to be the consensus that this first level is the hardest and as such is a nasty trick as an introduction to the game. Here's the hints you'll need... 1) The alarm clock is in Spongebob's bedroom next to the bed. just grab it and then go back out back to scare the inept telephone guy (Spongebob will automatically fix the line after that). WHen you try the phone you may find that Spongebob complains that he doesn't know Squidward's number. If so...then you need to go back to Squidward's house and read the message on the board on the first floor back room (kitchen area?). After you successfully call Squidward...he'll hang on teh phone in a confused state so that Spongebob can grab the toothpaste and finally brush his teeth. One more hint: You need to put the brush and toothpaset together first ... then bring them to Spongebob's face so he'll brush. You'll find that this sort of combinational action will repeat as a theme as you move further to solve other problems in the game. Good luck.

Yeah...my son is 5 as well and it seems to me that the game is better suited for a few years older (and I was stumped myself quite a few times). The game gets better as you get the hang of it...and rewards you with a few cool diversions. So...here are the hints you'll need to get to goofy goober's ... Spongebob will not go to Goofy Goober's until he gets information that leads him there. In this case, he needs to talk to the "familiar guy" in the Krusty Krab. That guy will say that a couple had been in there before and left with a card-like object (presumably the access card to the elevator so Spongebob can get to the Patty Mobile). Then when you talk to the "girl" in the Krusty Krab 2 and ask her about it...she'll tell Spongebob that her friend has it and went to Goofy Goober's. A general theme should be coming clear here...you need to talk to practically everybody you meet as Spongebob is stimulated to action by the information he gathers. Have fun.

I must say that this is the hardest game for kids that I have ever seen. Unfortunately for me my 4 year old insists that I finish the game and get the crown.
I have found some bugs in the game. One is where you have to ask the bartender for soap in the pool hall. I went to the soap dispenser, tried it, it was empty so I went to the bartender to talk to him and nothing useful was said. So I walked out and went to another area and found nothing so I came back and talked to the bartender, then he said he would fill the soap!! Why he didn't say that the first time I don't know but damn that took a long time of wandering around for me! I am experiencing the same thing now at the Surplus store on Level 6. I cannot see the little black spikes that have been described on this board to get the spine. I have dragged my mouse everywhere and spoken to everyone. Is there something I am missing? My son is so disappointed!

I must agree (and have previously asserted) that this is a tough game...especially for the young ones...there should be an age warning on it. As for the bugs...the only apparent bug I have seen happens later on in Shell City (Chapter 7, I think) when the sprinklers in the store start coming down. It is sporadic mainly because of hardware I think. Generally, the interactions of the characters are dependent upon proper set up (i.e. you must gather things or prepare items before they will do what you want)

As for your problem..the "spine" is attained when you grab the starfish sitting on a rock outside the store. After that you can get an appt at the doctor...and there will be a few more tricks to pull before you can get to the guy in the back of the store...good luck.

Hey My little Brother and I are on the Third Level on the Spongebob Squarepants Game. We have the tongs, we have scareda way the repair man and We have talked to all the people who are in the KK1 and KK2. We have tried to get Spongebob to go to the Goofy Goobers but he will refuse to go and we cant find the pass card to get into the elevato. Can some one please please please PLEASE help us?!?!?!

Hello me and my little brother are playing the spongebob squarepants computer game and we can not get the Paty Mobile key away from the Thug. How do you move the thug so that you can get the key back and get on with the game

The guy with the key said that he will trade it for some fried ice-cream. Unfortunately, the counter at Goofy Goober's will not fry the ice cream...but if you buy it anyway and then bring it with the tongs to the Krusty Crab 2's kitchen (i.e. the kitchen with the working fryer)... drop the tongs on the ice-cream to combine ...and then dunk them in the fryer... then you'll have fried icream!! Go back to the thug and voila..you'll be on your way.

you first have to go to the room where his computer wife is and grab the wrench if you havent already done so, then you throw the wrench at robo spongebob and he should probably move( hope this helps). HINT: in every room you go in push the letter "H" on your screen and if a little spongebob shows up it means you have to pick up something or do something with it.

where do i go after you shrink the sweater and put it on? i dont know where the leader is and i tried to talk to the people in front of the hospital but no luck
