You need to first get the flashlight from the guy at the entrance to the caverns (down the road from the hotel). Shine the flashlight into the holes in the floor (Rooms 1 and/or 2)...and spongebob will realize that there is a room below. Then go ask the manager about this...and he'll give spongebob a reason to go outside and look under the hotel...Here you'll find the pearls that you can return to the old lady on room 1. She'll give you the orb as a reward. Hope this helps.
