For some reason my PS2 refuses to play any colored disk and I was just wondering does anyone know the reason for this or if it is fixable?

Are you getting Disk Read Errors?
Do you have a fairly old model?

Disk Read Errors are all too common in PS2's. In fact, they got a class action suit about it (or so I've heard). If you call Sony, tell them you have Disk Read Errors, and do everything they say, they are supposed to offer to fix it for you if you ship it in to them.

I haven't done this myself, yet, but I'll probably have to eventually, and I've heard this from multiple sources.

I reserve the right to be entirely wrong.

yeah, I get disk read error. Well thankyou for the information. Because I am unable to play Half-life on my ps2 and it angers me. I will have to do that.
