I actually thought it was much better than Reloaded, but nowhere near the original film. So if the original was 10, reloaded was 1 (I agree with you), then Revolutions was like a 4.5... Worth seeing if you want to see how it "ends." There's definitely room for a 4th, but I doubt a studio would ever back it.

Actually, I didn't mind Reloaded so much; I thought it was so-so. If the first was a 10, Reloaded was an even 5 on my scale. The only problem was that it vacillated way too much between being hemi-deep and being kinetic, instead of the flair with which the first movie would jump from one to the other. As a result, neither aspect was nearly as powerful individually as they would have been in tandem. Revolutions, however, is AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL.
Best wishes, ~V

I never really wanted a sequel to the first Matrix. It totally didnt need it. The ending of the first was really cool because it had enough conclusion, but it was also pretty open-ended. It made you think and dream. It didnt make you want to see a bunch of crappy films about how they havent destroyed the Matrix. Anyway, what I really wanted to say in this post was that being "hemi-deep" is fine aslong as people can follow whats going on if they are paying attention. Reloaded was just a bunch of unexciting special effects sequences that were ridiculously over the top that were linked together by garbage babble that noone could follow.

The problem with Revolutions is that it didnt answer any of the questions presented in the second film. However, it was a decent enough action flick and, for the most part, it was fun. Fun, something Reloaded severely lacked. The lack of fun in the second film made it the worst movie of last year IMO.
So, I guess I'd rank the movies like this~
Matrix>>>>Revolutions>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Reloaded

Sorry Eccentro but you're wrong! Reloaded might not be a good film but there is one thing it is: FUN! what about the excellent car chase? The Video game looking fight with the agents? The flying? The first scene? Revolutions is BO-RIIIIIIIING! The Zion war should have been called the Zzzz War! Reloaded worst film of 2003???? Ridiculous! Did you see the Master of Disguise?

Yes, I, unfortunately, did see "Master of Disguise"--which, now that I think about it, was a LOT worse than "Reloaded". But, the Matrix sequels had a bit of potential whereas "MOD" had none. I jumped the gun when I said "Reloaded" was the worst film of 2003. I was just really dissapointed.

Its OK Eccentro, I too was utterly disappointed, and so were millions of Matrix fans ! Reloaded could have been a very good film if only it had had some rythm and some ACTING! The Wachowkis should never have done the 2 sequels together, huge mistake!

They better make another sequel!!!!! It can't end like this!!! The ending of Revolutions was just terrible!!! I believe that if the Wachowskis concentrate they can pull out another Matrix film that would erase the memory of the crap that is: Revolutions!

I was so sad when this film finished. I miss Neo lol. The fighting scene between Neo and agent smith was quite good but the film just isn't the same. The first matrix film will always be the best!
