The Simpsons. Family Guy doesn't even compete and neither does South Park. The Simpsons is funny and the other 2 arent!

The Simpsons used to be funny, but not anymore. South Park is the best, but Family Guy keeps getting better. Squidbillies is good too.

The Simpsons is the first and the best. Without The Simpsons, you would never see shows like Family Guy on network TV.

That isn't that far from saying the guy who invented basketball is the best basketball player ever.

I like them both.

However, I must agree with a lot of the people here that lately The Simpsons has been losing its spark. Family Guy never fails to make me laugh. Also, having a great appreciation for that sort of "random" sense of humor exhibited in Family Guy, and since it has been getting better and it is still a relatively young show (compared to The Simpsons, that is), I'm voting for Family Guy.

Regardless of which is funnier, am I alone in finding it very irritating when one show blatantly steals the format from another and no-one bats an eyelid?

However, both Family Guy and the Simpsons are pretty pleasant time-wasters. I prefer the Simpsons, but that's just my opinion.

Similar dilemmas can be found here -

Pepsi or Coke?
Britney or Christina?
James Blunt or agonizing death?

Ever wanted to vote either for Simpsons, South Park, Family Guy, two of them, or all of them? In my General Television Discussion, you can vote, but just to remind you the "Both" option is actually "All of them"....

Oh yeah, in my opinion, both Simpsons and Family Guy are good.

Ok well all credit to matt groening and the entire team for going so long but i think in the last 10 years they have gone so far down hill honestly and they dont really have good plots atall now they're all taken i mean homer forgets to pay his insurance? come on man. family guy is without a doubt, the worlds greatest cartoon show in the world, and they should cancel the simpsons now to be fair, would you rather remeber the simpsons as a good show that made 20 successful seasons or a show that made 50000 seasons and everyone got so bored of it no one watched it anymore? give family guy a chance people its so funny i used to like the simpsons but i watched family guy once and never looked back. oh and finally i watched 4 episodes of the simpsons i think they was from season 12, 19, 10 and 16 and i did not laugh once in any of them. and as for people that say family guy copied them.. what do you call treehouse of horror 14 and death is a bitch and they've also tried to make maggie a better character since stewie. they're intimidated man, intimidated.

Actually, there are SO MANY similarities about Family Guy to The Simpsons. SO many. I think "Family Guy" is somehow a ripoff of "The Simpsons". I'm not going to say what are the similarities unless someone tells me to... Roll Eyes

Family Guy hasn't been funny since before it got canceled. They used to be politically incorrect and funny. Now they think politically incorrect equals funny.

All they care about now is shock value and random pop culture references.
