I told you guys that if I answered the questions I knew before anyone else took a crack, there wouldn't be much left for anybody else! Hello! It's me! Here's a rundown of just how Simpson Crazy I am: I own EVERY episode on tape (personally recorded & edited to take out commercials) & every season available on DVD, I have a life-size cut-out of Homer Simpson, a picture of our favorite family signed by Matt Groening & the voice cast, the Maxim magazine with Marge on the cover (wrapped in plastic), nearly every toy (I only bought one version of each character, I don't need 5 different Homers), a Simpson's Chess game, a Homer's head cookie jar that says "D'oh!" when you open it, an unopened box of Homer's Cinnamon Donut Cereal, a couple of unopened Simpson juices, all 5 Simpsons Pez dispensers plus a giant Homer one & a set of tiny ones, Simpsons suckers, a Homer lamp, Homer & Barney shot-glasses, a model of The Homer (The car designed by Homer), a Homer's head Rubix Cube (my nephew got ahold of it & now I can't get it back together again!), Simpsons Comics, a Bart Simpson mug, a Bart Simpson figurine playing an air guitar that was on my 14th birthday cake, a talking Homer bottle opener, several posters, & a dashboard Homer that screams out lines when the car moves. I have more, but I don't feel like running down to The Den to see what more I have, but I think I've made my point.
"I can't live the buttoned down life like all of you! I want it all: the terrifying lows, the dizzying highs, the creamy middles! Sure, I might offend a few of the blue-noses with my cocky stride and musky odor - oh, I'll never be the darling of the so-called 'City Fathers' who cluck their tongues, stroke their beards, and talk about what's to be done with this Monkey_Boy?!"

I fully expect that when the Simpsons finally go off the air, Matt Groening will be found dead the next morning at the hands of Monkey_Boy.

Naw, it's my alibi ! Why would I kill him when it was mentioned here? It wouldn't make sense. Especially, if I waited a few months...

I have no idea, but my first guess would be "Paul Is Dead".

1. In the episode where Homer gives up beer for a month, he has a flashback while pouring beer down the drain. It is of him in a convenience store, apparently buying his first pack of beer. What name is on his fake ID?
2. In the episode where Bart and Lisa ghostwrite an Itchy and Scratchy cartoon, they state that they plan to change their names when they grow up. What names do they say they will change them to?
3. Which of these well-known actors has NOT been seen in a Simpsons episode?
Steve Guttenberg Woody Allen Jon Lovitz Vincent Price Christopher Walken Tom Cruise
4. Which four Simpson voice actors have been on SNL, either as guest hosts or cast members? Note, one of the names has only appeared once in the Simpsons
5. Which of these well-known football announcers has not been heard on the show?
John Madden Pat Summerall Keith Jackson Brent Musberger
6. Which of these "sports" has not been seen on the show?
Baseball Football Basketball Hockey Soccer Pool(Billiards) Tennis Boxing Pro Wrestling Ping Pong
7. Which of these shows has NOT been spoofed on the show?
NYPD Blue Mad About You Saturday Night Live Nightline Tom & Jerry
8. A relatively easy one for you. What song did Weird Al Yankovic do a parody of on the show?
9. During the afore-mentioned episode where Homer gave up drinking for 30 days, Flanders admitted to not having had a drink in 4000 days. What was the one thing, according to the flashback, that he said after his last drink?
10. When Ralph visited the dentist during the "dental plan" episode, he was shown the "Big Book of British smiles" book in order to scare him into brushing his teeth more often. Whose picture was the last one he looked at before promising to brush more?

Oops, I hadn't seen this at all Kyla(and I can only assume Monkey_Boy hadn't either). I don't have a clue, but maybe the bump up will give M_B a chance to look at it. Are you still around? If M_B doesn't know it, I'm curious what the answer is. As for Ian's questions, those are also hard. I'll do my best. 1) I remember it rhymes with Queen, but that's it 3) Who made Steve Guttenberg a star?(Stonecutters) Woody Allen dumps trash on Homer in New York. Jon Lovitz frequently lent his voice. The two that I can think of are Jay Sherman from The Critic(also a fantastic TV show) and Arte Ziff. I can't remember the actual Jon Lovitz being on the show. Vincent Price had the egg company. Christopher Walken read Goodnight Moon to the kids. That leaves Tom Cruise. I can't think of any connection he has to the show. That's my answer. 4)Well, I'm a little bit confused, because I'm sure many guest stars on the Simpsons have also guest hosted on SNL. For example, Alec Baldwin and Janeane Garofalo both appeared once on the Simpsons. I'll name a few obvious ones you're probably looking for: Phil Hartman, Jon Lovitz 5)I can't remember either Brent Musberger or Keith Jackson. 6) Baseball - The Isotopes Football - Homer heals the kicker Basketball - Carl slam dunks Hockey - Bart vs. Lisa Soccer - Starts riot Pool - Flanders has pool in his basement Tennis - Homer actually wanted Foxy Boxing Boxing - Drederick Tatum Pro Wrestling - A wrestler appears when Burns goes broke, but there aren't any shots of wrestling. I can't think of any actual shots of wrestling Ping Pong - I can't think of any ping pong scenes 7) NYPD Blue - Not sure Mad About You - Mad About Shoe Saturday Night Live - Not sure Kent Brockman hosts a Nightline type show Tom and Jerry - Itchy and Scratchy(duh)

3. Mr. Nougat, actually you'd be right on both Lovitz and Cruise. Lovitz has portrayed the film critic but never himself, and of course Cruise has never appeared on the show.
4. Hartman and Lovitz are the obvious ones, but there's a couple of more that I'm looking for specifically.
5. You were right with Musberger. Summerall and Madden, of course, were on the Super Bowl episode, and Keith Jackson lent his voice during the "Big Brother, little brother" episode, where Homer gets another son, and Bart gets another dad. When Homer's watching Bart Starr's retirement ceremony on TV while he's forgotten about Bart, Jackson's voice is on there, and probably a few other times as well.
6. Correct.
7. Almost there.

You're right, Major. I had no idea a new question had been asked! I DO know the answer, well at least half of it. Let's take care of Ian's first: 1. In the episode where Homer gives up beer for a month, he has a flashback while pouring beer down the drain. It is of him in a convenience store, apparently buying his first pack of beer. What name is on his fake ID? Brian McGee2. In the episode where Bart and Lisa ghostwrite an Itchy and Scratchy cartoon, they state that they plan to change their names when they grow up. What names do they say they will change them to? Lois Sandborn & Steve Bennett4. Which four Simpson voice actors have been on SNL, either as guest hosts or cast members? Note, one of the names has only appeared once in the Simpsons NO IDEA. NOT AN SNL FAN (Well, not a 90's SNL fan...) 5. Which of these well-known football announcers has not been heard on the show? NO IDEA. NOT A SPORTS FAN.7. Which of these shows has NOT been spoofed on the show? NYPD Blue - Gotta be THIS one. Because: SNL was spoofed in "Brother from the Same Planet" (I believe it was called, "Tuesday Night Live") Which I believe was the one with the "Mad About Shoe" sketch & Krusty mentions a sketch called "NYPD Shoe". Bart mentions that he misses Joe Piscapo.8. A relatively easy one for you. What song did Weird Al Yankovic do a parody of on the show? I dunno the name of the song exactly (not my gender* of music), but it starts like, "Here's a little diddy 'bout Jack & Diane" I think.9. During the afore-mentioned episode where Homer gave up drinking for 30 days, Flanders admitted to not having had a drink in 4000 days. What was the one thing, according to the flashback, that he said after his last drink? "Ann Landers is a boring old biddy!" At least I think it was Ann Landers. I KNOW he called someone a "boring old biddy" when he had too much Peppermint Schnapp's 10. When Ralph visited the dentist during the "dental plan" episode, he was shown the "Big Book of British smiles" book in order to scare him into brushing his teeth more often. Whose picture was the last one he looked at before promising to brush more? Prince CharlesAt the end of the b-sharps episode, what was written on the wall next to the stairwell door of the kwik-e-mart roof when the b-sharps were having their rooftop concert? First off, it was Moe's Tavern NOT the Kwik-E-Mart. And the answer is: FOR A GOOD TIME CALL EDNA KRABAPPLE! Don't know the phone number they left. Here's a little bonus: What's the number to Moe's Tavern (This question DOES have an answer (& it doesn't start with 555). You'll kick yourself for not knowing it!)? *That was for any Weird Al fans out there! On his VH1 show he did a mock interview with Eminem & poked fun at the fact that Marshall said, "... gender of music." To which that nutty Al screamed, "GENDER?! DON'T YOU MEAN GENRE????!!!!"

Monkey my man, you got #1, #2, #7, and #10. You were right about #8, and the song he parodied is actually called Jack and Diane, but he titled it Homer and Marge. You were right about it being Ann Landers on #9.

Here's some more.
1. Name at least two different places that have existed across the street from Casa de Simpson.
2. (I hope I haven't asked this one before) Name at least 3 jobs Gil has held.
3. Name at least five US universities mentioned, in jest or otherwise, on the show.
4. What was the name Bart used the one and only time one of his crank calls to Moe went awry? (ie, there was someone there with that name)
That's it for now.

George Bush's expensive mansion aaaaaaannnnd... um, Gerald Ford's? I can't, for the life of me, remember what else has been over there. There have been a few episodes that showed the area across the street as a small generic house, so I guess that could be an answer, but I doubt it's the one you're lookin' for. A realtor (Realty Bites), a used car salesman (Natural Born Kissers & Screaming Yellow Honkers), & a doorbell salesman (Maximum Homerdrive) quote: 3. Name at least five US universities mentioned, in jest or otherwise, on the show.
Brown (Lisa Gets an "A"), Yale & Harvard (Burns, Baby Burns & dozens of other episodes), Vassar (There's No Disgrace Like Home)& Princeton (Brother from Another Series) quote: 4. What was the name Bart used the one and only time one of his crank calls to Moe went awry?
Hugh Jass By the by, do any of you KNOW Moe's Tavern's phone number?

In the episode where Homer replaced Smithers as Mr. Burns assistant, Mr. Burns dialed Smithers on the phone and accidentally got Moe's.
Smithers comes out to 76484377.
As for your answer to #1, the Bush house is correct. However, since the Bush house and the Ford house were in the same episode and it was implied that Ford moved into the same spot Bush did, that's not the other one I'm looking for.

I'd forgotten about that one, Nougat. The other one I'd thought of was the power plant during the Stonecutters episode. When Homer becomes a member of the Stonecutters, he gets to go through the secret passageway and finds a great parking spot. It just happens that it's right across the street from the house.

AH AH AH! That was in their BACKYARD! NOT across the street! No wonder I was havin' trouble thinkin' of something specific!
