By the way, it's SNOWBALL II not Snowbell. Wink

From this list, I chose Homer, as he is unarguably the most developed and hilarious character, but I personally identify with Lisa.
My favourite supporting guy is Capt. McCallister, especially when he is wrestling with sea beasts....oh, and Comic Book Guy of course..

What do ya know! Homer Jay Simpson is my favorite, too! My favorite second tier character is Robert Underdunk Terwilliger with Charles Montgomery Burns not far behind. Yeah, I love the bad guys! Of course who doesn't love the unlovable & still un-named Comic Book Guy? They had an entire episode ('Worst Episode Ever') around this guy & STILL managed not to give him a name!

It's a credit to the intelligence of the Simps writers that the comic book guy never gets a name, because he exists mostly in relation to the kids, and to a kid, a guy in a shop is just some guy in a shop...thats clever and thoughtful character creation, and proves , if we needed proof that The Simps was never just "some kid's show".

In fact, it is the greatest art to ever reach television....

Lisa's my favorite character. She reminds me of the little girl I would have liked to have been, not the little girl I was. I was quite different, more like Bart. :O

Easily Homer....there's a good reason why the plots became more centered around him.

So, you are a girl! Or at least a young woman. I was refering to you as a "she" when I was talking to my wife about these Simpsons threads & she asked me how I knew you were a girl. I said, "Well, with a name like Sunsplashed, I sure HOPE she's a girl!" Big Grin

For the record, Comic Book Guy does have a name, I think in the episode where Homer does the gloating dance and starts getting paid by athletes for the same reason. Jeff Albertson Smiler
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comic_Book_Guy)

Lisa's probably my favorite too, her humor is a lot more subtle than everyone else's, she seems to be the nicest character and she's probably got the best taste (Coltrane). I identify some.

Yes yes Comic Book Guy has a name, of course. Smiler

But he is referred to constantly and consistently as C.B.G. and my point (which I didn't make clear enough) is that his identity is of the annoying man in the shop who stands between Bart, Millhouse etc and comic nirvana.
So he remains not Jeff, which wld be too familial for such a character, but "a guy", and that's the genius of the Simps writers.
Don't think this is a bitchy post towards you, not at all.
I just wanted to make clear my admiration of the writers'. Big Grin

Ah, yeah, I gotcha. I was thinking too literally. I always thought that was cool though, the cast of peripheral characters named after whatever they are (Bumblebee Man, Squeaky Voiced Teen, etc.) and they did only name Comic Book Guy finally to piss off their fans...who were the basis for C.B.G. anyway Smiler Good times man.

mmm, from the list i would pick smithers. He isn't that likeable, but he has had some great episodes and some really funny lines. My other favourite would have to be ralph "i bent my wookie!" wiggum, and lionel "bad court thingy" hutz.
