I don't think they seriously have. There have been many times when they nearly did, but someone always interupted or got in the way of the map. The actual state has a point where four other states convene giving it a total of 5 states at one point, a gorge, a mountain range, a nuclear power plant, & a desert, but they get snow. I do agree with you, no real city would have all that the mythical Springfield has, however, with global warming and all, it might not be long. But that's another topic.

This happened in 'Homer VS Dignity' (I'm not nerdy enough to know what episode number)- Bart got an 'A' in Astronomy, & to the dismay of Lisa, Homer gave Bart a medal & took him to The Singing Sirloin where the waiters sang him 'Happy First A'.

This is the correct answer in terms of the "state" that Springfield is in. For more info, click on Dork's link. It explains EVERYTHING! So, in the end I was right, there is no specific state.
