To me, Catherine Zeta-Jones is today's most beautiful actress and I think Penelope Cruz is also quite beautiful. I think Cruz is the better actress, though, by far.
As far as classic film stars go, Ava Gardner and Veronica Lake would get my vote.

YES! Definitely Jennifer Connelly. Plus also Liv Tyler. Of the actresses from days gone by I think Natalie Wood was attractive. Of course many actresses are very beautiful etc. like Angeline Jolie, but they don't always hit the mark.
