I didn't find any Will Smith post in here. Some of them are randomly scattered in other sections, but I would like to see some voices about his acting and his films. Will Smith let me down after Legend and Peter Berg cheers me up after The Kingdom . Now the mixture works of this two amazed me with the image of a grab-ass and booze-swilling superhero, Hancock. It's a very entertaining movie until the last tragic dimension, but Smith saves the day. Trailer Here
Will Smith, like it or not, is an extremely talented actor. He got his start on Fresh Prince, one of my favorite shows. His acting was great on Bad Boys, Wild Wild West, and of course my favorite, Men In Black. His movies are still great quality, although not as good as his late-90's stuff.

Will Smith by comparison doesn't have a large quantity of films to his credit. It took me a while for me to take serious notice of him, after he made a big splash onto the big screen in the sci-fi action blockbuster Independence Day (1996), followed by Men In Black (1997). There were however, popular action-oriented movies for the mass audiences. Will Smith did arise to the occasion to help make these movies a success as well as the rest of the casts, special effects, direction, cinematography.
Will Smith was decent and held his own well opposite Gene Hackman in Enemy of the State (1998), solid mystery thriller that had intelligence and mounting excitement. Also had a good script and supporting cast.
Wild Wild West (1999) was ok, but nothing to spectacular in the acting department.
Will Smith was able to maintain the level of interest and appeal in the sequel Men In Black Alien Attack (2000) though his comedic behavior may have begun to become more two-dimensional.
Will Smith then demonstrated his versatility in The Legend of Bagger Vance (2000), an extremely difficult and solid performance in Ali (2001) where he was nominated for a Best Actor nod for an Oscar.
Will Smith again had further decent films in the Isaac Asimov sci-fi remake I, Robot (2004), and the remake of the sci-fi classic I am Legend (2007) and the informative and insightful look at love in Hitch (2005).
Finally, Will Smith has begun to star in more edgy and non-traditional, perhaps even risky productions which nevertheless I consider to be solid performance that resonate on a deep emotional level consisting of: The Pursuit of Happiness (2006), Hancock (2008), and Seven Pounds (2008).
Overall, it appears that Will Smith has of the movies I've seen never done poorly. The culmination of all his works reveals an actor who can do comedy and drama with style and compassion. In time, he has the potential to become a noted, first-rate actor that will be remembered for a long time. He is still growing and emerging with newer, more diverse, and more powerfully meaningful performances.
