i used to confuse kurt russell with jeff bridges, a long time ago... also cate blanchett with the one who plays the bad queen in narnia and the archangel in constantine...why? no idea
I don't confuse them, but Tom Hanks and Juliette Lewis look an awful lot alike.
Not film stars, but I've never been able to distinguish tennis players Venus and Serena Williams.
Back to film, how about Ice Cube & Ice T? They don't look anything alike, but both were (c)rappers turned actors (both good actors) with similar names who came on the scene at roughly the same time.

I'm with you on both ideas.

I don't believe Stephen is acting anymore. He found God and he's producing Christian skateboarding videos. I think he also gave up going to the gym.
Alec also looks like he stopped going to the gym as well.
Billy Baldwin is married to Chynna Phillips, son of two members of the Mamas and the Popas. She was also in a pop band that had some success in the late 80s/early 90s.
Throw Rachel Bilson and Nora Zehetner at me and I would start looking for matching lockets or tattoos or pictures ripped apart in 2. Also, until about 3 years after watching "Beloved", I couldn't figure out which one was Kimberley and which one was Thandie until MI2 came along.
My wife gets EVERYONE mixed up. Even ones who look nothing alike! Take, for instance, she once thought Eddie Murphy was Wesley Snipes. With me being an interracial half black, half white man & she's a full blooded white woman, for awhile I would joke about how all black people must look the same to her. However, she even gets the white guys mixed up. I guess she's just not good with faces, period.
Me? I used to always get Mel Gibson & Kurt Russell mixed up. Don't ask me why. Nowadays, I know one from the other but, back in the day, I was constantly stumped.
"I can't live the buttoned down life like all of you! I want it all: the terrifying lows, the dizzying highs, the creamy middles! Sure, I might offend a few of the blue-noses with my cocky stride and musky odor - oh, I'll never be the darling of the so-called 'City Fathers' who cluck their tongues, stroke their beards, and talk about what's to be done with this Monkey_Boy?!"

Maybe because they were in the film TEQUILA SUNRISE. Mel was the good bad guy (reformed drug dealer) and Kurt was the bad good guy (cop) and they sparred over Michelle Pfeiffer. Kurt's performance was modeled on NBA coach Pat Riley. The film's director, Robert Towne, is a big Laker fan and Riles was the Laker coach when TS came out.

Ditto. I confuse Kurt Russell and Jeff Bridges, too.
