yeah i'm going to have to jump on the Mary bandwagon on this one. as far as comedies go, it is a modern classic. i just saw Dodgeball too though and thought it was hilarious.
De Niro stole the show in Meet the Parents, Stiller split the laughs with Owen in Starsky and Hutch, Zoolander was OK, and Along Came Polly had a few moments but rightfully didn't make the cut overall.
edit: i didn't care for Stuck on You.

Not mentioned in the list, but "Royal Tenenbaums" is definitely my favorite Ben Stiller Movie though "Zoolander" is also pretty hilarious. I guess RT isn't exclusively a Stiller vehicle, but he still plays a great part.

Permanent Midnight has been the only movie I have ever been able to tolerate Ben Stiller in. I HATED Zoolander, I did not even laugh once, I chuckled a mere two or three times and would put it with Battlefield Earth as the worst films I have seen in the last five years. I laughed more in Swept Away! Meet the Parents and the Royal Tenenbaums did very little for me, and There's Something About Mary I find to be highly overrated, give me Kingpin anyday instead! I will check out Dodgeball though, as for once he is not playing his neurotic jew/bumbling loser role. I might be able to enjoy the film if I am expected to dislike his character! As it is, I find him to already at this early stage in his career to be approaching the monotonous redundancy of a Woody Allen.

Did you like "Spinal Tap"? Not saying that "Zoolander" is nearly as good, but I think they both work of the same basic humour strategy in that the movie is basically taking the piss out of a subculture and the main characters of the film.

I think he was great in Starsky and Hutch. I like Ben Stiller and his movies but I have ot see them more than once. I hated Zoolander, Something about Mary, and Meet the Parents the first time I saw them. I really liked Dodgeball but not his character. So Starsky and Hutch was the only one left,
I haven't seen Dodgeball or Envy yet, but from what I have seen, Zoolander is my favorite performance. I like Royal Tenenbaums better as a film, but he was hysterical in Zoolander.

Yea, well you see this one? This was my dream, my wish....and it didn't come true. So I'm taking it back, I'm taking them all back. -Face
I think There's Something About Mary and Meet the Parents are the only good movies I've ever seen him in. He's pretty much on par with Adam Sandler now, making the same bad movies and playing the same characters over and over.
Something About Mary is great though and definitely him at his best.
I have to go with Meet the Parents. Followed by Something About Mary, Followed by Starsky and Hutch. I liked all of the movies mentioned except for Dodgeball.
