Of course, Dustin Hoffman, from "The Graduate" through "Marathon Man" is primo too.
My favorite female actors would have to include Katharine Hepburn, Audrey Hepburn, Ellen Burstyn and Deborah Kerr.
Does anybody have any favorite actors they would like to share? They can attract you by their talent, looks, or whatever you want.

I've thought long and hard about this and I'd have to say Sydney Poitier. His performance in "A Raisin in the Sun" is simply riveting. He so dominates every scene he's in.

My favorite male actor is: Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

He's great in Magnolia, Love Liza, 25th Hour, Boogie Nights, and Almost Famous. I haven't seen Truman yet.

My favorite female actor is: I think I'll go with Kim Basinger.

She outstanding in L.A. Confidental and I also like her in 8 mile.

Dude, what about his role in Twister where he uttered one of his most profund lines, "Greenage." Wink

For some reason his role in Twister slipped my mind. I only saw that movie once and that was the night it opened in theaters.

Hoffman has tons of classics from Twister:

"The 'Suck Zone.' It's the point, basically, when the twister sucks you up. That's not the technical term for it obviously." [talking to a young woman he's just met.]
"Red meat. We crave sustenance!"
"He's gonna rue the day he came up against the Extreme. Bill, I'm talkin' imminent rueage."
"Did you just miss that truck? That's awesome! That's awesome!!"
"It's the wonders of nature, baby!"

Sorry about that. I just watched it last week. Cool

Another one I forgot was Punch Drunk Love, but clearly I will have to rent Twister in the near future. From what you guys have posted it seems that only Hoffman's role in Truman may come close to equaling his effort in Twister. Perhaps more than a coincidince that both films start with T.

You mean Capote? Hoffman has the Best Actor locked up for Capote this year. Twister's just a fun flick where he could be completely extroverted, which is a lot different from Capote.

Yes I did mean "Capote" and along with that error, my attempt at sarcasm seems to have utterly failed.

Let's not forget Along Came Polly...

"Let it rain!"
"Raindrop!"
"Raindance!"

I employ all three when I'm shooting hoops.

Al Pacino (I don't really need to list his credentials and filmography do I)

Other mentions:

Phillip Seymour Hoffman- I will really make it a point to rent Capote this week, and working in a video retail should make that an easy task Big Grin

Tom Hanks - Again, another actor with innumerables (Did I just make up a word..?)

Matt Damon - I especially liked his performance in The Talented Mr. Ripley
