You just beat me to the post Ed. I was a fan. He will always be Superman. He did have other great roles as well. I haven't seen to many of them (I'm sure Mark can help us out here) but if you have never seen "Noises Off!" I highly recommend it. It's a laugh riot (if you enjoy English farse).

Yea, well you see this one? This was my dream, my wish....and it didn't come true. So I'm taking it back, I'm taking them all back. -Face

That's so funny Ray, I first saw Noises Off when our theater department I was in in college put it on. That was great fun!

I've been dreading this day for awhile. That riding accident is apparently rare (I hope), but it completely wasted Superman. Of course, he became a true hero after, with all his work and efforts to make life better for others who suffer in the future. In filmland, besides all the "Superman" movies, "Noises Off", and "Deathtrap". I'd add "The Remains of the Day", "Speechless" (definitely underrated), "Switching Channels", "Street Smart" (where Morgan Freeman became a bonafide star), "The Bostonians", and "Somewhere in Time" (which is a huge cult film...see, the distaff side can create cult films too!) Whether you think he was a great actor or not, he was great in just about everything he did because you BELIEVED the guy, even when he was lying his ass off!

True. I'd also like to meantion his performance in the remake of Hitchcock's classic Rear Window. Now I know that compared to the original there's no...comparison but I think that Chris Reeves was impressive considering his handicap. I think he deserves to be applauded for having managed to make a good performance in his unfortunate state. Bra-vo.
