I found this book completely infectious. Maybe its just because I am fascinated by Elliott smith.
I wouldn't be so ignorant as to say that I have a good understanding of his life after reading just one book. However, the book looked at his life from an angle that I hadn't thought about before.

Regardless how distant some of the "friends of Elliott" the author used quotes from, they probably did have some merit.

Overall I think the book does justice to the life of a very talented and very troubled artist; ESaTBN delves in the the emotional and musical potency of Smith's life and makes the reader a part of it.
