O.k., it's been a long time since this thread has been active. Let me just say I'm a long time Neurosis fan. I "discovered" them with "Souls at Zero", and that is still my favorite Neurosis album. My interest gradually declined over the years. However, I thought "The Eye of Every Storm" was their best album since that time, and they have continued that trend with their latest, "Given to the Rising". It's pretty good stuff, and if you're a Neurosis fan, or even just a metal head, I'd recommend it. ********************** Metal-Archives POTDquote: I'm looking for Russian Militant Black Metal. Semi-good production is a plus, as are clean vocals (if kept to a minimum). Also looking for vocals in Russian. Basically like a Russian version of Absurd...

Ahh yes. Neurosis. I did my time living in and booking shows for smaller venues (mostly post punk, experimental stuff) and those guys are phenomenal live. And they are really nice guys with interesting side projects. You should check out some of the music they have helped produce as well as their own new music, and associated side projects by going to the Neurotrecordings.com site. They have definitely gone the way of more progressive and experimental sounds lately, and it can be a little daunting trying to take on this music if you're into heavier rock music and haven't really taken on jazz or neo-folk... but any member of Neurosis, deserves a listen of their other projects just because they are such great guys personally. And, "The Web" remains one of my all time favorite songs. I won't forget easily what it was like to hear and watch them play it 5 feet from the stack. e-mummy
Dashboard Confessional could perish in a plane over the Everglades, get eaten by alligators, thrown up by alligators and, have their vomited corpses crapped on by a hepatitis infected Nick Nolte look a like, and I wouldn't care enough to even be on the sidelines cheering.
