I remember an old thrash/death band that was christian...Vengence Rising and the 'tape' I had was called Once Dead. As I recall it was pretty damn good.

Deicide was good, Once Upon the Cross and Serpents of the Light were pretty good, the endless grating and ...more grating - from the songs in general just wore thin. The message, the constant note-barfing going on. When they focused more on riff (as the good book states all metal should be based in and upon) oriented songs - the stuff was great, but then the grating of the note-barf. Just got old.
