Great band eh? I'll be seeing them live for the first time this Monday alongside Earth. So discuss the band, favorite albums, and I'd love to get some feedback about their live show from anyone who has seen them in the past. \m/

LOVE this band like a schoolgirl drooling over Timberlake.

saw them live about 2 years ago, and the only word which sums up the total experience is terrifying. I have been to a million gigs of heavy stuff, but this was on another level. At one point I felt this really awful sense of dread and almost ran for the door.
Creepy, overwhelming, riveting, hypnotic. Can't wait till I get the chance to go through it all once again.

Album wise, I waver between White 2 and Black One as my preferred listening.
It's rare that I listen to an album for anything more than the music itself, but SunnO))) playing through my speakers ....I have a strong sense of travelling to another world...and I'm a complete rationalist. Imaginative displacement I guess. They work on me like a good novel, creating images incredibly powerful in my suggestive little mind.

great gig yr going to. Report eagerly awaited.

Sweet, brutal. I'll be sure to carry something to take my faeces home in when the bass rumble is so deep it makes me empty my bowels...

Black One is really fucking cool, but I have a soft spot for Flight of the Behemoth as well.

I couldn't have said it better myself. I'd also go with White 2 as my personal favorite, followed closely by White 1 or Black One. Pretty much everything is good. I love how on the booklet to Flight of the Behemoth there is that little note right next to their "cover" of Metallica's "For Whom the Bell Tolls" seen here as "FWTBT" that says "I wish it was Lars Ulrich that was thrown from the bus and not my mystikal master Kliff Burton." Fucking nice.

Well that was definitely intense. As much as I enjoy their albums, the live show just takes it to a whole new level.

Well I'll come in and kill it for everyone I guess ;p

I don't know, I just couldn't like them as much as I wanted to. Admittedly, maybe I just don't have the attention span for it. But I like to think mine's pretty good, so maybe they're asking too much. Maybe I need pot. Maybe maybe maybe. Live show does sound like a good idea though.

Hey Nhaz, you don't need drugs. I've never listened to any music on drugs and I get deep. Just turn out the lights, clear your mind, and do somethin' bout yr ADD, ha ha. Smiler

Really? I actually find that despite their song's lengths they actually go by incredibly fast. It's just so easy to get lost in the backwash of feeback and the cavernous guitar tones.
