I just wanted to get your opinions on this album. It's one of the few albums liked by critics and fans alike. As far as concept albums go, this one stands next to Pink Floyd's The Wall. Except... better. It's so good..The storyline alone is worthy of an award. And the storyline sets up a plethora of amazingly cool lines... The lyrics are some of the best in metal. I should also like to point out that this is way better than Dream Theater's Scenes From a Memory, another metal concept album. They're different types of albums, but I just love this storyline!

Operation Mindcrime is the best metal album of all time. The second is too far away.

I've been up to my neck in wine
I've been up to my neck in wishing
That this neck wasn't mine

It is probably the greatest concept album of all time.

People might say The Wall, but while I'm a Floyd fan, I think that one is a bit overrated. There is quite a bit of filler across the 2 discs.

There is NONE on Mindcrime. Just Brilliant stuff.

The sequel was also much better than I expected.

Operation: Mindcrime is a masterpiece. However...nobody should try and do a sequel to anything of that quality...as its bound to fail in comparison...which, i hate to say, operation: mindcrime 2, really did.
