Anyone catch Norma Jean's new one? The Anti Mother. Good metalcore stuff... especially the opening track. I actually going to listen to it right now....

I have hated every single Norma Jean song ever put out so I'm pretty skeptical about the new release. It is still piss poor Botch rip off stuff with an unnecessary Christian slant?

Hail of Bullets - Of Frost and War. Invisible Oranges has an interview with Martin van Drunen - whose vocals, if not name, will be familiar to fans of Asphyx.

From the MySpace page:
quote:
At the end of 2006 former Pestilence/Asphyx-singer Martin van Drunen, ex-Houwitser bass player Theo van Eekelen, Gorefest-drummer Ed Warby and both Thanatos-guitarists Paul Baayens and Stephan Gebédi hooked up for a serious drinking session in the city of Amersfoort, Holland.

I have to say listening to these songs on MySpace, I love it. This is definitely one for old-school death metal fans to check out.

Your signatures are getting better. I can't believe there are such obscure scenes. You couldn't make it up, although I'll have a go -

I'm looking for some Bavarian badger-gassing prog metal/folk death techno, preferably with 'rasping' vocals. I'm only interested in bands who have exploded on live television in the last 456 days. And they all have to be dressed as nuns and juggle at the same time whilst riding bikes. Is there anyone else out there who's into this sort of thing?

I've been listening to this band called Nahvalr. Fairly subdued, washed-out black metal with some sick atmospheres. Don't know how I feel yet.
