I still use my Sega "GameGear" which is a color handheld, the first of its kind which killed GameBoy at the time. For some reason, it died out after about three years, but those super-fast Sonic games really worked well on it.
I must also confess that I was one of the probably 15 people who bought the Sega "Nomad", which actually played Sega Genesis games in a handheld. It looked kind of ridiculous with a full-sized Genesis cartridge sticking out the back of it, but it was cool playing two player, and having the second player using a full-sized genesis controller which stuck out the face of the thing. Many plane trips playing NHL '94... Good times.
The original gameboy was fun for Tetris, though.

The Game Gear died because it had less good games, wasn't made by Nintendo, and ate batteries.
If you aren't sure about the Pokemon games, you probably liked them. They are quite good, but their image was ruined by overpopularity and percieved "kiddiness".
I reserve the right to be entirely wrong.

you've got a good point there, Comp...
I remember when all of my guy friends had the game gear and they were always complaining about the batteries dying during their games..lol

The oldest Gameboy I own is the gray Gameboy pocket. I still play the original Pokemon and Tetris on it today. Yes, laugh at me for playing Pokemon, but it's a really well made RPG.
Ive still got my grey gameboy and ive got a gameboy colour too. I dont play the original gameboy because i can play all the games on the gameboy colour and they are much clearer. I still play pokemon and still haven't completed it because no-one plays anymore so i cant trade pokemon. I also have a gameboy camera and printer, but ther printer is broken. Ive got a few other games, but ive no idea where they are.
I used to have an old gray gameboy but i gave it away a while ago.... Anyways, I have an sp now and don't really play it because I haven't seen any good games. Also, the ds is out and they kinda stopped making good stuff for the sp.
I have a Gameboy Colour and my cousin has an original, it has some pretty cool games tbh, cnt remembber the names or anything but still its good i think Lol
