My son is getting a PSP for Christmas from his grandparents. I'm trying to decide on a game for him. He's 9. I'm leaning towards Tokobot or Lumines or PoPoLo Crois. What do you think of those three? Any other suggestions?
I haven't played Popolo Crois or Tokobot yet, but I think Lumines would be a decent pick for the guy. Although he might be a little to young, but Lumines is a mix of Tetris (kind of) and a bit of Dance Dance Revolution in a sense that it syncronizes with music, or a music bar. Read some reviews and you'll get a better sense of what you actually do in the game. The only thing I might worry about for the guy is that he looses attention after awhile. There aren't really heart racing moments, but the best thing about it is probably building a combo; shattering the blocks and listening to the music and sound effects that come with it. There also aren't that many modes, just a few, but I think there could've been more.
p.s.-I think i might get it for myself for Christmas (being a 20yrold college student)

I second Lumines, I've played it consistently since I got it in June, an it's great for any age.

Lumines - definitely. I love the game, and played it for probably 20 hours before moving on. But Tokobot and Popolocrois aren't anything special. Tokobot is amusing, but nothing like Lumines. (these are my PERSONAL observations - not professional, mind you)

I know this is a late entry, but for future reference, you can never go wrong with a racing game. PSP has a wonderful batch of racing games that are all kid friendly.
