Later this summer, I'm going on a bit of a trip to see some family and I'll be in the car for two days to get there, and then inversely two back. Between then and now I plan on getting about two or three games, and because I don't game as much as I used to (yar, me ol' bones can't survive multiple trips to Ganon's quarters), I'm kind of out of it. Therefore, I need your help in telling me which games I should get. So far, I'm thinking of:
- Golden Sun: The Lost Age (I really liked the first one) - Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 (I'm not so sure about this one, so if I'm only grabbing two, it'll probably not be this one) - Pokemon Ruby (Because I haven't played Pokemon in years and, therefore, I'd probably get sucked into the game)
Last summer, same thing happened, and I got Advance Wars 2 and was highly content with it. I'm interested in both Castlevania and that Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga game, but I'd still like some input from other people. I don't have an N-Gage.
Thanks to anyone who reads and helps and... yeah. Thanks 'n' stuff.
How about Metroid: Zero Mission (or Metroid: Fusion)? Another fun one is WarioWare Inc. I've heard mostly rave reviews, surpisingly, for Ultimate Card games. Check out the reviews on the site for more in depth opinions. My favorite page for this kind of thing is simply the High Scores page. I think it's pretty reliable.
Death to Videodrome... long live the new flesh!

Yeah. I checked it, but I have or had most of those games. The ones that I have not played are under consideration, but I always appreciate input from an outside source. Thanks for your help, though. I'll think of the Metroids, and I'll read a little more about this WarioWare.
man, mario world 3 is definitely worth getting, it's one of the best games ever made. if you never owned it for nintendo it'll keep you busy for a long time
do you like "tactics" style games? you should get either Tactics Ogre or Tactics advance, I put in over 120 hours into tactics advanced and haven't beat it yet.
get the original advance wars used, it's awesome
or, likewise, get Fire emblem if you liked AW2, it's similiar, in a fantasy setting, but the story is more involved
wario ware is super fun but might not last you the whole trip.
Superstar saga is also incredibly fun, it has a great battle system, highly recommended.
metroid's are also fun, except may not last the whole trip either (depending on skills and or interest.)
if you can find it, Virtua Tennis is surprisingly deep and it's usually like ten bucks
and, finally, if you never owned it, buy legend of zelda four swords... the SNES action RPG never gets old. I would recommend this above the others (if you never beat it)

I have (or had) Final Fantasy Tactics Advance (assuming that's what "Tactics Advance" means), both Advance Wars, Fire Emblem, and The Legend of Zelda: A Link To the Past. Both Advance Wars and Fire Emblem were big hits with me, as I love the games, but I'm afraid to play more games like them for fear of overkill. The Legend of Zelda: A Link To the Past was fun while it lasted. Final Fantasy Tactics Advance was a stylistic burnout: I played it compulsively for an amount of time I forget, and then I couldn't stand it thereafter. I've since pawned it.
I worry that, with Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3, I'll be a little sick of the game. I played it a lot when I was a kid and there's a chance that it might not occupy me for as long as I'd like. There's still a high chance that I'll get it, though, but I'm still worried.
If you could explain to me what Tactics Ogre is like, I'd appreciate it. If Final Fantasy Tactics Advance =\= "Tactics Advance," could you tell me what that is too? (Or, well, anyone reading this. Any help is good help.)
WarioWare, likewise, sounds like it might lose me after so long. Is there any progression in it at all, or does it rely on replay value? If it's the latter, it may not work.
It would actually be really good if I could get some games that are long and deep. Games like the aforementioned Ultimate Card Game thingie, with no progression or ending that rely on the come-back, doesn't work. Sorry I'm not of more help.
Warioware is a terrific game for car rides. Unfortunately, it's pretty short---so you'll beat the main game within the first day (assuming you play it non stop). There are a slew of extras to unlock, but you might get tired of some of the mini games before you beat the game in it's entirety. If length is not as much a factor as sheer playability and fun then Warioware should be perfect!
yeah, tactics advanced is the same as FFT Advanced. If you can find Tactics Ogre: the Nights of Lodis, I would highly recommend it, although it's very similar to tactics advanced and I think it's been out of print for a while, it's actually better (after playing and beating both). the story is better, the characters are better and the graphics are awesome. anyway, if you're sick of all that, it sounds like you should buy "Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga" - the battle system is awesome (action-oriented) the story is highlarious and there's tons of gameplay. Very deep. Virtua Tennis is also surprisingly deep (great career mode) and super cheap.
