Hey all, I'm planning to buy a handheld game system. I play a lot of online games mostly like word games, memory, mahjong, dominoes etc. I have never played on any game stations. So can someone advice me what is a good handheld system in which I can get the above mentioned games.

DS, get clubhouse games, there's a collection of the games at bars (don't know name) and a whole slew of other titles. Big selection - good prices and online play with Clubhouse Games too.

The psp is a better system then the ds. But the ds has more of that kind of game. I suggest you go to a gamestop and try a few demos!

i just got the new psp model and its pretty awesome, i have a DS but i really don't like it, i think DS's are truly just for super casual gamers who just want a quick game fix, of course there are a few good DS games but they get old fast. Jeanne D'Arc just came out for PSP and is amazing, i love Metal Gear Portable Ops, Tekken, and Tales of Eternia, also FF Tactics, Disgaea and Oblivion are coming out for PSP

Please don't triple post to upgrade your Karma level. Grand Rapids is only a couple hours drive for me, and I don't want to have to come over there. Mad

Just download games onto your cell phone. Unless it is ancient you can get some pretty good games. From the types you are looking for there are a ton of great downloads. Cheap too.

I have both a PSP and a Nintendo DS. I have about 8 games for the PSP and about 25 games for the DS. While the PSP is vastly superior in a technical sense, I somehow spend 90% of my time playing the DS.

I would recommend the DS for its pick up and play nature, and instant loading times. You'll enjoy titles such as Platinum Sudoku, Dr Kawashima's Brain Training, Scrabble, and 42 All Time Classics/Clubhouse Games. Nothing really wrong with the PSP but it caters more for arcade games and is just like having a portable Playstation.

Thanks Guys. I'll check both PSP and DS out. Does the system come with the entire set of games or do we have to load each one of them. And how much does each game cost? I guess the system itself is about $120 right?

Unless you get a bundle pack - games and system are sold separately. Idon't know of any current bundles - you might find a Brain Age 2 DS bundle kicking around somewhere.
