I recently saw the new Snoop video " sensual seduction " is probably the best video i have seen. (not just in 08) This video reminds me of an old school MJ video or any soul video. what are your thought? or what do you think is the Best Music Video of 08
p.s. I hope this video came out this year and not last.

I like the video, but I still hate the song...

I think I've seen about 15 music vids this year (yes I check MTV occasionally to find some new vids.) So here's a list...
1. Vampire Weekend - "A-Punk" (Nice to see creativity and treating a music video as an art form) 2. Hot Chip - "Ready for the Floor" (Decent video, even though the vid doesn't relate to the song at all!) 3. Hercules and Love Affair - "Blind" (Compliments the song perfectly) 4. James Pants - "Cosmic Rapp" (Interesting enough) 5. Guilty Simpson - "Get Riches" (Another video that goes great with the song, Guilty is here to stay) 6. Missy Elliot - "Ching-a-Ling" (Don't like the song too much, but the video has some nice effects to make it awesome) 7. We The Kings - "Check Yes Juliet" (This video has a decent storyline, and a killer lead female) 8. Mariah Carey - "Touch My Body" (Sort of funny, but this is the point where I stoop to MTV too see what's new in the mainstream world) 9. Alicia Keys - "Teenage love Affair" (I actually like the song, but the vid is just soo typical...) 10. Jordin Sparks feat. Chris Brown - "No Air" (Wow this song is powerful! The video doesn't do much though..) 11. Madonna - "4 Minutes" (uhh Madonna needs to be mentioned even though this song and vid are slighty below par at best..)
Unhonorable mentions
1045. The B-52's - "Funplex" (Didn't expect much but the whole feel of the video is so irrelevant that it almost makes you barf) 2834. Usher - "Love in this Club" (..Just another "club video")

I think its time I drew attention to he video for Timbaland's 'Scream'. What a terrible video! Why does he need to have women wearing balaclavas!? Perhaps he thought it was sexy. It isn't.
And the 'storyline' of the video is embarassingly juvenile: The video begins with Timbaland singing while being massaged and seduced by two women. It then shows cuts of Timbaland, Scherzinger and Hilson singing with and without Balaclavas under a car park. At the conclusion of the second chorus, Scherzinger is shown singing in an elevator while performing in front of a car with and without a robbery mask. The next scene displays Timbaland and his two friends planning a robbery with intercuts of Scherzinger, Hilson and Timbaland singing in front of a car. The video concludes with Timbaland and his two friends walking into the targeted house.
Ughhhhhhhh.

I bet this video is rotten. I really enjoyed your description of it though. It was funny like watching MTV on mute.

5. Guilty Simpson - "Get Riches" (Another video that goes great with the song, Guilty is here to stay)
There's a band called "Guilty Simpson"... that gets airplay on MTV? They are a little behind the cultural curve with that name, although he's been in the news a lot lately so I guess it counts. Really though...

The Guilty Simpson I'm talking about is not a band so you may be thinking of someone/something else. He's a solo artist off of Stones Throw Records.. I don't know, anyway, I saw that vid online, not on MTV. I was just saying majoritally the music vids I watch are on MTV.
It may just be the internet hipster inside of me, but that video is just plain dumb. Almost every "meme" in that video is over a year old, and they aren't even presented in a clever or original way. Its never good when you're mining the same territory as insurence companies for ideas for your music video. I hate the song too. :-D
The reason it's so cool is because they actually got most of those internet dweebs to come and be at the shoot. The memes may be old, but I think it's just interesting that they recruited all those people just for the fun of it.
