Five years? So you didn't hear It Still Moves nor Z?

Before I had heard It Still Moves, I didn't know much (At Dawn). Same with Z, I only knew the previous 2. The fact that these 3 albums were so good and the fact that each album got progressively better, is why I am looking more forward to their next album than anything previous. I think it's only natural that as a group's albums get better and better, that you will look forward more and more to their next releases.

I know you were probably joking, but I decided to go on a tangent anyway.

Z is going to be hard to top, in my opinion.

I do hope their new album features Andrew Bird's whistling again, though. That provided a couple of those great "musical moments" for me in 2005.

I own Z (the hardcopy, not even a download) but I've never listened to My Morning Jacket.

February 5 according to wikipedia. Heard 2 songs from it on the radio today too, 'Shake a Fist' and 'Ready for the Floor', both VERY good.

I've been intentionally avoiding their myspace and being able to hear their new songs. Want to be a blank slate when I finally buy the CD.

I had no idea M83 were releasing a new album! Awesome!

According to wiki: 'The album is said to deliver the rich sonic textures for which M83 is well known, but with a more focused approach to song structure and form'

Which actually sounds rather worrying to me.

It Still Moves is already better than Z.

I was a fan of Jason Collett's last album, Idols of Exile. The new one Here's to Being Here is pretty awful. His last two albums really sounded to me like a guy making the music he loved and wasn't really reaching for being a star or whatever. The new one is just boring and tries to hard to be catchy. To you Broken Social Scene fans out there that might have their interest peaked on this solo project, don't waste your time.
