Glad to see someone else enjoying this one. It's my favorite song on that album, and that's saying a lot.

Little Dragon - "Twice"

Heard this song on the radio the other day and it floored me. Been listening to it on their myspace ever since.

Haven't heard too much this year but these are the songs that have really stood out so far.

Hot Chip - Ready For the Floor - Still one of the best pop songs of the year. I heard this in 2007 and had to put it on my list for last year.

British Sea Power - Lights Out For Darker Skies - An amazing song to kick things off for their new album. It really kicks your ass at first and then at about the 3:48 point it just turns sublime.

Vampire Weekend - M79, Oxford Commma, Walcott - Just get this album... there's nothing else you need to know.

The Raveonettes - Dead Sound - What a simply beautiful song this is. It's one of the songs where it seems like you've heard it before but you haven't because it was just waiting to be written. Good album too.

My favorite song of 2008 so far is Blood on the Wall's "Lightning Song". This is the best track Sonic Youth never wrote.

"No Lucifer" by The British Sea Power.
a song that could fit perfect in Neon Bible n shows how Neon Bible could sound without the springsteen influences.

...hate to say it, but if this song had shown up on Neon Bible it would have fallen from my #3 down to around #10 on my year end list. It's just dull.

The new Atlas Sound album has two absolutely fantastic songs. "Bite Marks" and "Winter Vacation" are phenomenal.

Whoa. That XXXChange remix of Santogold's "L.E.S. Artistes" is excellent.

That's a pretty badass track.

It's the best Tom Waits track not written by Tom Waits.

It's probably already been said, but "White Winter Hymnal" by Fleet Foxes will most likely go down as one of the most beloved tracks of 2008. It' just so....... pretty. And catchy, too.

If the track "Couleurs" is any indication of what m83's full length will sound like, i'll be a happy camper.
