I've only listened to the albums I'm able to stream through the blog that FKA links, since I don't feel "right" about downloading anymore. But so far, here is my list.

1.) British Sea Power - Do You Like Rock Music?
2.) Bon Iver - For Emma, Forever Ago
3.) Sons & Daughters - This Gift
4.) Drive-By Truckers - Brighter than Creation's Dark
5.) Vampire Weekend - s/t
6.) Black Mountain - In the Future
7.) Mars Volta - Bedlam in Goliath

Waiting to pick up:
Stephen Malkmus - Real Emotional Trash
Xiu Xiu - Emotional Lovers
Evangelicals - The Evening Descends
Mountain Goats - Heretic Pride

BTW, I find the new British Sea Power to be an excellent, excellent album and I'd be suprised if it wasn't in my top five by the end of the year. I've probably given it 25 spins already.

I agree. It reminds me of the unfortunate release of Wincing the Night Away last January.

The way you guys put this, it's like albums don't even have lasting power any more. "Well, gotta listen to CDs for the month they come out and no later!" If an album is a good summer album, it'll be played in the summer even if it's released in November. That's what I did with the Shins this past year.

Aren't there any girls out their who like good music? I need to and want to meet them. My favorite bands are Overkill River, The Nife, Songs:Ohio, and Nuetral Milk Hotel. Please let me know if your into indy music and like to go to show's and drink beer's and makeout.

And just asking for a small favor here but for those of you that download, can you guys put asterisks or something next to stuff that hasn't been really released yet? And maybe you can provide the date for when it is going to be released as well? This would be great.

No idea when it comes out.

It was produced by one of the guys from Daft Punk, but it sounds a great deal like an Air record.

He was discovered and signed by Air, so that makes sense. La Ritournelle is still his best song.

Perhaps -- but I do I love the closing track on Sexuality quite a bit. And how about that album cover?! Hahaha -- classic.

Haha. Yeah, you'd think by the way some people talk there's no such thing as indoor heating. NewsFlash: Humans spend most of their day inside a building, warmed to a comfortable temperature.

No Drive-By Truckers in here? How come?

Certainly, with 12 albums on your list, you could find room for Drive-By Truckers.
