I have spent a significant amount of time Googling Songs 4 and Up to try and find out about this different LP. I haven't heard Evil Urges yet. It wasn't until I read the thread in the Indie Rock section that I finally got it. Quite funny. But, now how am I going to get back those wasted minutes of my life trying to figure it out?

Sorry, man. I guess I was being too clever by half. ********************** Metal-Archives POTDquote: im looking for pretty much the most uninspired/unoriginal brutal and/or slam death. with little or no variation in vocals. stuff like disgorge(us) and condemned.

Most of those aren't 2008 albums, Stengaard. You can find threads for most of those bands if you're interested in discussing them, however. Welcome to the forums.
I had a stick of CareFree gum, but it didn't work. I felt pretty good while I was blowing that bubble, but as soon as the gum lost its flavor I was back to pondering my mortality.

How is that new Blind Melon? I like their old stuff but, you know, sometimes you've got to be wary of a band putting out new stuff after almost 10 years.
------ Aren't there any girls out their who like good music? I need to and want to meet them. My favorite bands are Overkill River, The Nife, Songs:Ohio, and Nuetral Milk Hotel. Please let me know if your into indy music and like to go to show's and drink beer's and makeout.

Especially one whose lead singer died more than 10 years ago. Is it really a "new" album? Did they dig up Shannon Hoon from the grave?

Nah, they just found someone who can sing like him, I'm pretty sure.

lmao, well, at that age I was into music, but it wasn't the type I listen to now. Lemme see... 1998: Massive Attack - Mezzanine Beck - Mutations Spoon – A Series of Sneaks Pearl Jam - Yield (?) ... eh, there are plenty of discussions somewhat related to this which I'll leave it up to you all to filter through. Then again, many of the best of my "super awesome" favorites were released in 1997, Pinkerton, Brighten the Corners, Lonesome Crowded West, and OK Computer chief among them. That brings up another question, is there a historical trend of the 'hit' the releases from the "7" years overshadowing great releases the next year? I'm sure we have discussions on this too...

"Highly Suspicious" is the only song on the album that truly offends me on an aesthetic level, but "Evil Urges" is a little weird too.

And does he say "Peanut Butter Pudding Surprise" on "Highly Suspicious"? I hope so because that would be another redeeming quality in the laugh-factor category.
And yes, you did hear "Peanut Butter Pudding Surprise."

I can't stop listening to the new No Age album. Rips. As for the comments that 2008<2007, I'll agree for the time being, because there were so many awesome albums that came out last year. But 2008 is catching up, in my opinion.

Anybody heard the whole Titus Andronicus album? I checked out their tracks on their myspace site after the glowing P4K review today, and it sounds like something I'd totally be into. There's references to "emo" in the review, but I don't hear it at all. It sounds more the snotty, catchy punk you'd hear from the Buzzcocks or many of the Mick Jones-penned clash songs.
