Yeah, I know it has leaked. I don't usually do leaks...I'm not against it or anything, I just like to own the physical album. (Especially since I like the cover art.)
ya, i do leaks...i also buy the album sometimes. i either dload illegally or buy the album...sometimes both. it definitly is cool to have the case and art.
I wouldn't be nearly as big of a music fan if everything was only digital. I need the physical copy to keep me happy.
Anyways... U2 - No Line on the Horizon ---HTDAAB was a dud. I hated the album, so I'm not too optimistic that the new album is going to be any better, but I'm still anticipating it.
Mutemath - TBA ---Their goal is to blow their debut LP out of the water, and from the sneak preview vids they've shown, the album is going to be an improvement over what was already a solid debut.
Blitzen Trapper - Furr ---They've grown and really developed their cool sound and they've progressed on every album thus far.
Grizzly Bear - TBA ---Coming out in April of '09, but I'm still excited for it right now.
And last but not least...
Tom Morello: The Nightwatchman - The Fabled City ---One reviewer called it one of the best of the year. I loved his debut (One Man Revolution). The folk-side of Tom Morello is just awesome. I heard this is going to be using more drums, louder guitars, etc. and will feature Serj Tankian so I'm excited to hear what this will sound like.

I'm very excited about the pending Final Fantasy EPs Plays to Please and Spectrum, 14th Century. Seek out the tracks that have leaked so far if you're into Beirut, Andrew Bird, Spencer Krug, etc. His next full length, Homeland, is also on its way, though that might not be until 2009.
Other exciting releases on the horizon, though some of them do not yet have release dates: Erykah Badu New Amerykah Pt. 2 Margot & the Nuclear So & So's Animal! / Not Animal Midlake The Courage of Others Lupe Fiasco LupEND Steve Burns Deep Sea Recovery Efforts*
* How well known is this guy? He was the original Steve on Blue's Clues, and his 2003 debut was produced by David Fridmann. It was pretty fun and worth a listen.

Well, I think he's gotten a lot of publicity through the Blue's Clues and Flaming Lips connections, but as you said, his first albums is really good. I'm looking forward to this one as well, but I haven't heard anything about it in a long time.

Seriously. Wow. I had no idea, but I remember watching blues clues with my little sister. I'll have to check it out.

Songs for Dustmites is a pretty solid album (the first track, "Mighty Little Man" - dare I say it - rocks???) so I'm interested in what he does next. To be fair, I hadn't really expected anything after that, though.
------ Aren't there any girls out their who like good music? I need to and want to meet them. My favorite bands are Overkill River, The Nife, Songs:Ohio, and Nuetral Milk Hotel. Please let me know if your into indy music and like to go to show's and drink beer's and makeout.

I just realized the new Pela album Rise Ye Sunken Ships has not yet been released. They recorded it the end of last year, so I know it's done somewhere. But there isn't any word anywhere I can find on the internets that says when it's due out anytime soon.

I enjoyed the hell out of that album when it came out (holy sh*t, it's been 5 years since was released!). There's quite a few good songs, but a personal favorite is "A Reason." I love at the end when he adds the keyboard melody to carry the song to the finish. You can barely hear it if you aren't paying attention.
