The Walkmen are working on songs in the studio right now, and are due to release sometime May or June. I'm really excited about it. I love The Walkmen...

Hopefully it's a little more interesting than Chris Walla's solo work.

Seriously? Man, you need to sort out your subconscious if that's your best dream... I always dream of living in a post-apocalyptic world where I'm the only male survivor, and I have fierce battles with mutants, zombies and aliens, which I'm always victorious in, then have sex with the hundreds of beautiful woman who just happen to have survived too and hero worship me.

im most excited about the islands release. return to the sea in my opinion was the best of 06. the wolf parade should be, um, interesting, and the my morning jacket sounds good.
I'm hoping Tapes 'n Tapes will put out an LP this year. Oh, and also in agreement with just indie about Islands. That and Subtle were probably the two best albums of '06 - along with Destroyer, of course.

I've heard Sarah Harmer might release another album this year. Her last release was a bit of a disappointment, but her first three records are some truly wonderful folk/bluegrass releases. Hopefully this wil be as good as You Were Here.

Well, I guess take the new release from The Format off of my anticipated releases for 2008. They broke up yesterday. Maybe some solo releases from the members, but not a full band release.

I'm about to pee myself in anticipation of Crystal Castles leaking.. I've spent too much collecting every single and bootleg of theirs, just waiting for a decent sized collection of songs.
And two days before the legit release I get to see them!!
I'm expecting the leak sometime in the next 2 weeks to a month, although it could be any day now since so many March releases have already been leaked.
Maaaan, I can't wait for the new release from Guillemots. It sounds different from their debut LP (at least from the one single they've released) but I still bet it'll be good. Interesting, at least... that's more than I can say for a lot of 08 releases so far.

I had a stick of CareFree gum, but it didn't work. I felt pretty good while I was blowing that bubble, but as soon as the gum lost its flavor I was back to pondering my mortality.
