I was hesitating whether to start this thread or not...but i think these guys deserve any free pub they can get.

I have been frequenting certain few "net lablels" for almost a year now.I actually own many complete catelouges from a few of em'.

Just think of any indoe label and basically a net label is the same...except everything is free and is always in mp3 or ogg vorbis format. They usually have downloadable cover art and everything that a "normal" album would have.

If u decide to check some out i am going to puit some links...but you can sure see the attention to detail that alot of the labels adhere to.Much like any other label.

I truely think this will take over "traditional" labels and how music is released.I have also donated to a few of the labels and hope if u do decide to obtain the music and enjoy it to do so yourself.

Anywyas, here are a few links to a couple net labels that i download from whenever there is something new.

Miasmah
There is a ton of incredible stuff on here...and some of it has even been released commercially.

Kahvi
This label is insane.Almost everything they put out is quality and worth a listen.

Tokyo Dawn
This label can be hit or miss...but it is extremely thorough. They always include artwork and credits for download. They have some awesome stuff available.

Here are some links to websites that keep updated listings of various net labels.

archive.org
This website is so dense. There is archived audio clips of so much stuff.Presidential speeches to independant music.

rowloAnother listing of various labels.

I would hope if anyone checks this out and downloads some stuff to post what you think.Or if you already are a fan, post some of your faves.

I need to clear some room on my HD, once i do that i will try to post what i have downloaded and what i like, etc.

Tell me what u think of certain labels.Like how the download goes. Some are different, lik ei know tokyo dawn puts everything in a big zip file for ya.Which is nice. While others make ya download every stinkin' track.

Either way there is alot of good music being made and being released by these labels. It is becoming really hard to keep on top of.

I worked for an online indie label for a while. They really didn't get enough bands signed to do anything big, but the guys I worked with were really cool!
