Hey guys. I started this topic on the Movies board, but noticed there wasn't a similar one here. I like this topic because we can ask questions about a particular group/singer that we heard or have heard of to see what others think. And of course recommend great artists or albums that you think others may have missed.
My first question is about a group called Azure Ray. I heard one of their songs on a local college station and loved it. Anyone know anything about them?
And my recommendation is the self titled debut album from Possum Dixon ('93). Overlooked by most, but a very unique sound. They came out during the "grunge" boom, and would be considered alternative, but as I said, it really isn't like anything you have ever heard. Check it out.

Yea, well you see this one? This was my dream, my wish....and it didn't come true. So I'm taking it back, I'm taking them all back. -Face
When I closed this thread six weeks ago, all I could see were the similarities to the "I recommend..." thread I referenced at the time. Just this week, though, I realized the wisdom of JackietheBlade's suggestion, so appologies to him for my shortsightedness.
What convinced me was the band The Crimea. If memory serves, I heard their single "Lotter Winners on Acid" recently on Global Pop Conspiracy radio. Aside from their own web site (which streams the single) and a few lines in allmusic.com, I can't find much about them.
Anybody familiar with them or the band that preceeded them, The Crocketts?
