2001 = best year of the aughts IMHO. Like 4 of the records in my top 10 of this decade are from that year. For electronic music in particular, all other years have been comparably pretty weak, though 2007 was pretty strong in this category...

I also believe that 2001 was a great year, especially for electronica stuff. Personally, I think 04 was the weakest year of the decade. Anyone want to try to sell that year to me?

I like Funeral a lot, along with Thunder, Lightning, Strike! and Desperate Youth, Bloodthirsty Babes from 04. I still think it's weak, because I can think of several albums from each other year this decade I like as much as those three.

But was it better than '01? Who knows and who cares because it all depends on how hard and attentively you seek music. If you're lazy, kick back (not saying YOU do this, just an example before everyone starts crying) and just becuz you're fave bands don't make an album that year doesnt mean the year sucks.
