Hmmm. What makes Feels more complicated than Strawberry Jam?

and what does complicated mean in this instance?

Mix a little folly with your plans: It is sweet to be silly at the right moment.

By complicated, i mean takes the most listens to really get the full potential of the album. Strawberry jam in my opinion, was immedietly catchy (though still my favorite AC album), while feels took quite a few listens to really sink in. Banshee Beat is my favorite AC song, but it took me at least 5 listens to "get it"

Interesting, for me it was pretty much opposite, I liked Feels immediately while it took me quite a while to get into Unsolved Mysteries and Chores, for whatever reason. Agree on Banshee Beat though, it's probably their best.

Top five most intense songs:

Public Image Ltd. - "Death Disco"
Joy Division - "Twenty Four Hours"
Husker Du - "I'll Never Forget You"
Slint - "Good Morning, Captain"
...And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead - "How Near How Far"

I had a stick of CareFree gum, but it didn't work. I felt pretty good while I was blowing that bubble, but as soon as the gum lost its flavor I was back to pondering my mortality.

Well obviously "intense" is a bit subjective. I guess I'm defining it as something that invokes an intense emotional response in me, along with a track that has a certain urgent sound.

Top 5 unofficial sequels to In the Aeroplane Over the Sea:

1. Rural Alberta Advantage – Hometowns
1. David & the Citizens – For All Happy Endings
3. Snowglobe – Doing the Distance
4. Frontier Ruckus – Orion Songbook / I Am the Water You Are Pumping EP
5. Brad Postlethwaite – Welcome to the Occupation

Those first two in particular are as good as indie-rock gets. The David & the Citizens album is more similar to NMH. Really, all these albums are great. Those first two are just on another level.
