Top five personal record buys in 2005:
1. My Morning Jacket-Z
(I could not be happier with this record. yeah, they are getting a lot of press right now, but they probably deserve it. radiohead + skynard+kermit)
2. Black Rebel Motorcycle Club-HOWL
(I don't care about the complete sub-genre shift, this sounds like the type of record The Band might make in 2005. Think about it.)
3. Oasis-Don't Believe the Truth
(It's always been about the swagger with their records, and you can feel it on this one.)
4. The White Stripes-Get Behind Me Satan
(A different sounding record compared to the delta blues played through an amp on 10 records. Tremendous.)
5. The Rolling Stones-A Bigger Bang
(Seriously. I love it. Surprisingly consistent throughout.)
