Alright folks, what are some of the bands or albums you absolutely love that you never see people mention on Metacritic?
I'm a large fan of Beth Orton, Everything But The Girl/Tracey Thorn, Live (pre-2000), and Dave Matthews Band, but alas, not many people talk about them... though with DMB, I think I understand why. Or do I???

What about the whole alternative hip-hop scene? You know, the groups influenced largely by A Tribe Called Quest and De La Soul.
My favorites include Blackalicous, and Jurassic 5 (with Cut Chemist). More mainstream artists in this "genre" include the Roots and Common, who get more press, but give me a Blackalicious album and I'm happy. (Blazing Arrow specifically, but The Craft is fantastic and pretty out there)... Alphabet Aerobics.
